I was considering selling my foreman pants but I dont think I’ve given them a fair go. The higher rise and straight leg didnt agree with me but I’ll prob never be able to score more Roys [emoji37]
So I’ll try hard to work them into the rotation. They’re still mega crispy and from experience it takes a bit of time for them to get to that cashmere level of softness. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they work out.

First, those look good on you. No man over 40 needs to wear tight pants though there's plenty of room to break most any rules. Next, I'd say as a certified old guy that it's good not to be hasty with stuff you likely can't replace. Roys are in that category. Keep'm. And if they are 33 in the waist sell them to me. Ha! I jest.

@profdbrk I only have another 29 days til I’m 40, so you may be right about my skinny pants days being over. However my NO-LOT pair does show up today, is this a midlife crisis?! I’m glad I didnt sell them a while back when I was about 4lbs heavier and couldnt fit in them without a muffin top.
Some time I’ll have to take a pic of my original ROY ducks for a fit comparison, they are def different animals. Both are great but in different ways.
@sabergirl Thanks Anne! [emoji3526]

ROY OG ducks and Wallabees + cheap cocktails = Comfortable Friday evening
What I would do for a crispy pair of “black and blue” duck jeans in a 36… anyone remember those?

Stretched to tag size?

@Boyo lol naw, they are pretty baggy on me, just washed and dried like crazy and I'm the second owner.

Oh man @appfaff those would be great in the saddle! Great pants. Looks like you have put them through the paces. I’ve heard a lot about Roy, and mostly all good things.

No love for the black seed Duck? I have the OG straight legs and the Foreman pants and I am a huge fan. It’s super crispy but softens up beautifully. Lightweight but super strong stuff IMO.
FWIW I remember those Black n Blues and would love a pair as well.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree it’s tough as nails, and they are my comfy pants - but man it stretches a ton and drapes weird. Does not keep me from
Wearing them one bit.. I just think his fits are not ideal for me.I had the Foreman as well and let them go after wearing one day…

I didn't mean to come off rudely, I thought you had recently picked these up and had gotten the wrong size… with the angle of the photo it looks as if the waist is wider than your shoulders... I guess its like taking a photo of a just caught fish where you extend your arm towards the camera to make the fish look bigger than it is...
-
@Boyo i didn't take it as rude, I just figured you meant they shrunk smaller than tag size lol and yes, all about the angle.

Roy finally sold and shipped off his machines so it looks like he may be out of the business. As people on the Forum probably know, I have always been a huge fan of the work and the story. The sewing skills are just so top-notch.
I recently sold two pairs of jeans that were too small for me, but I am happy to still have the following:
Old School Jeans
Original Ducks
Black and Blue Ducks
Denim Shirt
Portland Shirt
Baja Shirt
Black Chambray Short Sleeve -
That Baja SS shirt is wonderful!

Roy's out? Anybody got any back story on this development?
