Anyone here play video games?
-
While still very difficult, it's a lot more approachable than previous souls games, and the world is incredible
-
I can easily say, elden ring IS great
I downloaded it last week.and have watched Amanda play. I made a character but honestly I'm a little intimidated to play.
-
Just bought it today…the world is what drew me in initially. Im trying to find my way this afternoon...the first boss is just kicking my ass.

Explore Limgrave and the peninsula to the south before. The game points you to the castle but these areas are way more appropriate for the first 10ish hours imho
-
I am constantly getting cooked by random bosses, but I love it all the same
-
Im just trying to level up as much as I can –farming those runes.
the world is just so massive---not for babies -

If Elden Ring is too easy for you; I HIGHLY recommend Tunic. I played through it twice to get all the achievements. The game is kind of like the old Zelda games, mixed with the Soulsbourne formula. (Any time you save the enemies respawn)
The most interesting thing about the game is how the story is told through this cryptic language in found pages of a 90s style instruction manual. I don't want to spoil anything… But ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING in the manual is a hint and there are secrets EVERYWHERE. It's really cool. The map is a giant puzzle/ maze.
Here's some pictures I captured during my playthrough. The game is only on PC and Xbox/ Game Pass.

Also excited for this, very much so.

I had looked into playing Tunic once my ER obsession has wained, glad to hear it's good
-
Finally starting to level up in ER but gotta say…this game is no joke.
There is absolutely NO hand holding going on.
Just when I want to throw my controller through the window---I keep coming back. -
It's for sure a struggle, and the second you try and make it easier by bringing in a buddy you get invaded like crazy
Once you get the mimic tear summon it opens up a bit for you in boss fights
-
haven't seen that tear around yet–might do some research on where it is though.
Im finally getting some early bosses out of the way but its going to be an uphill battle I can tell. -
This looks really good. The Terminator game they made was really fun. Seeded kind of dated and mid-budget but really fun.

I don't know if there's any other nerds out there playing Cyberpunk… But I got the secret ending last night. It was one of the the most thrilling segments of a game I ever played. You have to raid Arasaka tower (full of high level enemies that can kill you in one or two shots) without dying, the whole time your health is gradually decreasing. Then I had to fight Adam Smasher with about 220 health.
! In order to get this ending you have to complete the quest Chippin' in, then go to the oilfield with Silverhand. Pick the dialogue option: "the guy who saved my life." Then, "you were a real dickwipe at first" "you fucked that up too" so you get him to apologize. Then you pick the option to forgive him and give him a second chance.
! Then when you go to the roof at Misty's apartment, pick whatever choice (not the easy way out) then weh Silverhand asks if you're absolutely sure, you have to put the controller down and wait for an entire five minutes. This triggers Silverhand to say, "picking which one of your friends gets to die isn't easy…"
! Then begins the quest. Don't forget to scan the tarot card when you kill Smasher. You can then either send V to go join Alt Cunningham in cyberspace or let Johnny Silverhand have your body. I recommend doing this ending so you can see Johnny's story arc. He turns into a nice guy because of V.
! I also recommend taking about 200 frag grenades. This makes combat so much easier by spamming grenades... -
I got the final ending I was missing in Cyberpunk last night. The Sun ending was probably my favorite. I don't want to spoil anything. But it ended on such a huge cliffhanger. I cannot wait to see the Crystal Palace. I'm hoping they expand on the storyline in the DLC due next year.

any one hear preordered ragnarok yet?

Finally got lucky with Sony and was able to pick up a PS5 during their latest restock. Haven’t played much in the past few years because our kids were too young but they’re both getting into gaming now so thought it was time for an upgrade over our old PS4. I’ve only played Astro’s Playroom so far but I’m blown away by the new system and controllers. We splurged and upgraded to an OLED tv too so it really is an enormous leap in picture quality and lag. Last game I played all the way through was probably Uncharted 4 or Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which I loved.
Also, I’m old enough to that my first gaming system was an original Atari…then Colecovision…then straight to PS1, PS2, PS3 (damn I loved the deadspace games) PS4 and now the 5. Anyway, our whole family is excited to start seeing what this system can do. Would love to hear some recommendations. Cheers everyone! -
Looks like I'll absolutely have to get a PS5 now. I had to post this trailer because the music is awesome
@SKT if you like Dead Space you NEED to check out this game called Callisto Protocol… They're also making a reboot of the original Dead Space as well.
