IHSH-302-IND - Ultra Heavy Flannel Western Shirt - Buffalo Check - Indigo
-
Good call on the copper, @Fadez
My IHSH-277 is the only reason I didn't get this (and it is still a struggle).
This is exactly what’s keeping me from going for it. Struggling too.
-
Really surprised that this is still so readily available - unless they wove a million of the buggers.
Figured the first indigo-dyed UHF would be an instant sellout.
-
@Weft:
they wove a million of the buggers.
I think, from the picture of the stockroom
-
Aha - missed that!

Mine has arrived this morning, nice but quite different in feel and weight from my two other UHFs (311&232). It weighs slightly under 100g less than the IHSH-311, I bought recently and is a slightly more snug fit (both XL). Definitely worth adding to the collection, will probably wear better throughout the year.
edit: accuracy

Good to know @SimonA - this is on my list if stocks hold a while, need to shift a couple of things that no longer fit first

What is the weight of this XL size shirt?
I don’t suppose you would mind if I ask why? Not in a ‘being funny’ kinda way, just interested (you might just be curious)

Thanks a lot

It's just that the size and colour and mass of any element of my clothes are important for me. Different things of different masses have different appeal to me.
Just one of many examples. I wear heavy boots and super light sneakers. I don't need light boots and heavy sneakers. -
Fair enough dude

What kind of things??
-
Sorry. Had to do it. This beauty was screaming for some extra pimpage.
Agreed, my thoughts exactly. Also, I've been dying go throw a GAH button/snap on any of my shirts but always chicken out
-
I shifted all the things I thought I wouldn’t miss before my trip (and quite a few things I miss after all) yet I always stand in the closet when something like this drops thinking to myself “What could I live without?” Sadly 1/2 my UHFs were moved along so this is extra appealing to me. I don’t think I have anything currently that I’d part with.
Employing the mantra “Enjoy what you have.”

I've been sweating the sizing between the M and L…
I noticed AJ is the only staff person that is wearing a M (and interesting due to his listed shoulder measurement). Any chance I could get his thoughts on the fit and whether the L would've been too big? I'm pretty close to his size but 2 inches taller and slightly larger chest. My shoulders say L but everything else seems to say M :-\
Appreciate any insight!
-
@chadingsworth Large definitely would be too big on me throughout, I wear medium in western UHFs across the board due to my shoulders more than anything. I also prefer more room in the chest/body so I can layer them. I could get away with a small but wouldn't be able to wear much underneath and the shoulders we be a little tight!
I am not a L in any IH at all, usually cross between S/M on most stuff!
Any questions let me know
-
Man do I appreciate the info! Now I think I'm leaning more toward the medium as well. Last year, I almost ordered a size medium UHF and I felt good about the size. This time and wanting the UHF western indigo, it seems the shoulder measurement is ever so slightly smaller. I guess it's safe to say you have no issue with the shoulders being tight on the medium?
Generally, I'm slender. 5'10, ~145, lean runner/triathlete build. For the longest time in US shirting I used to say I was the perfect medium. Over the years as sizing has drifted, I've found needing to sometimes get a small.

@SimonA noticed the same thing you mentioned about this shirt feeling lighter and feeling different from other UHFs. I thought my mind was playing games on me so I ended up playing musical UHF’s and took turns wearing a few to compare. It’s certainly not as plush/thick and feels somewhat smoother. I’m guessing it’s due to the dye process. Love how this shirt looks and feels.
I wasn’t planning on picking this UHF up but super glad I did. It’s so beautiful 🥺
