IH-634S-142bb - 14oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Black/Black
-
Hey, I'm interested in picking up a pair of these but I'm torn between a size 32 and a 33. The waist on the 33 is ideal but all the other measurements are better on the 32.
How does this denim stretch? Is it comparable to the 21oz indigo? For reference, I'm a size 33 in the 777s21.

I have a pair of these in 666 and they stretch a decent bit, but I wouldn't say a ton. Not as much as the 21oz (if anyone else wants to confirm this being their experience too, holler).
You can always email the staff to see what they have in stock — there's usually slight variance from pair to pair, so they might have a pair of 32s that has a slightly bigger waist.

(Excuse the tired, 15 minutes until I can go home look)
Special thanks to the IHUK team (and Giles for helping me get back into my forum account). I tried a handful of different cuts, but never had that perfect fit. The 888 was close, but the high rise was a bit too much. After being inspired by more straight leg fits from TJ @ The Shop, @Blowoutthecobwebs, and Max Schaaf @ 4Q Conditioning, I wanted something different than the usual skinny fit.
To the user that asked about stretch, I could’ve easily squeezed into a w30, but wanted something that fit right off the bat so went with w31. In a week, I’ve noticed a bit of stretch, but nothing crazy. I’ve worn them to work and there was zero break in.

So, these might be the comfiest pair of denim I’ve had. I’ve abused them straight every day since ripping open the IH bag and they get better and better. These are quick faders. Already a good wallet fade. Because they are my everything denim, I had to hose them off a bit haha
Looking forward to thrashing these into the ground

I got a pair of these a while back now and must say they have QUICKLY became my all time favorite jeans . For somebody that has never had an IH jean its easy now to see why they are so loved .
Hopefully Southern California stays nice and cool for a while so I can get some milage in them !
For those of you with more experience with the cuts , are the 888 similar but with a higher rise ? That would make dad life stuff a bit more easy !

There is a cut comparison tool around here somewhere but AFAIK 888 has a higher rise, looser block and thigh, and a more tapered leg.
The 888 is really a Dad friendly cut. My pairs also have the deepest front pockets of any IH pair I have owned. It is a great fit that seems to work for everyone.

Higher rise, roomier top block. About the same amount of room in the thigh, but with more taper to the hem the the 634.

Thank you very much fellas , looks like my next pair will be the 888 .

Hey Everyone - Just snagged a pair of these and was wondering if anyone (@Alex @Giles) can tell me how they compare to the SBG 21oz with reference to the marbling? I work a pretty gross job, so these will be washed quite frequently. Obviously already got them and the washing will occur regardless, just wondering what I'm in for... Thanks!
-
@E-Malus Another useful tip I picked up from the forum is to soak your jeans before you chuck them in the washing machine. This will prevent or in any case reduce marbling.
-
@Lowlander That's a nice tip. Might come in handy when I throw my UHR in the washing machine.
-
Sounds like a good plan @the246guy. I soak my heavy shirts too before washing. I'm not really sure why it works, but it does!
-
Nice, I'll try that too @Lowlander - a soak definitely couldn't hurt. Many thanks!
