Summer Raw Denim Jeans
-
Another vote for the 14oz denim–mine are the overdyed 666, but they are easily summer jeans no matter where you live. I also wear them in winter (e.g., right now as it snows outside). It is a versatile fabric for a year-round jean if you live somewhere where it gets warm.

I would try the 142 denim in the 634 cut. It’s seriously glorious in summer time. I live in coastal Alabama and wore it 3-4 days per week to work and about town.

I am from Italy where last summer temperatures reached 38 °C, sometimes also 40 °C! Also when it happens to rain, everithing gets unpleasantly humid.
Is the 634s in 14oz still ok for such heat and is it considered regular fit? I have large thighs and short legs, i am 171cm tall. I usually wear size 33 in other jeans brand such as diesel, armani, etc…

Are you used to wear raw denim jeans in warmer weather like 28 °C and above?
What model would you suggest me?
I didn't realize you were asking which model of any brand would one suggest, I thought you were speaking only of Iron Heart models.
For Iron Heart I still recommend any of the 14oz fabrics, it's a no brainer for me. Sure the 21oz is breathable and can be tolerated in warmer temps but the 14oz are still going to be more comfortable in warmer weather IMO.
The 16oz vintage would be my next suggestion as someone else mentioned above.
For other brands I would recommend 3sixteen's 12oz fabric, hands down. Very comfortable, lightweight (obviously) and for a 12oz denim it drapes very well and still retains a bit of ruggedness or "rawness". A lot of lighter weight fabrics don't drape well on me. Their 15oz fabric is even good for warmer weather too.

you mean the ST-101x, CT-101x, SL-101x? Just looked at them and looks great
Which cut of those do you think would resemble the 634s one more?
-
Yep, those are the ones. If you're looking for the closest to a 634 cut I would go with the SL-101x (straight leg). It's not a completely straight leg as there is a bit of taper but it has the least amount of taper among the 3sixteen cuts.
I personally prefer the ST cut (slim tapered) which would maybe be closest to the 777 IH cut, then the CT cut (classic tapered) would probably be closest to the 888 IH cut.

What do you suggest me between those?
-
Sugarcane SC42009 12oz Denim 1947 Model Type-II
-
3sixteen 12oz SL-101x
I don’t have experience with SC but 3sixteen makes good denim. I have their st cut and sl cut and like them both.

I live in Texas and wear 21 oz IH-634S jeans year round, even in the summer. In Texas summers, they're far more comfortable than the 18 oz IH-634SII I'm wearing right now.
And if appfaff says try the 14 oz denim, then that's reputable advice…
I'm also in TX with these same two denims (albeit 555 and 666) and can confirm that this is indeed true.

3sixteen 12oz SL-101x
I'm with @gaseousclay on this one, I dont own any Sugarcane denim so I can't comment on that. All I can say is that I highly recommend the 3sixteen.

For what it's worth @IronMan I live in Phoenix so I have experience with raw denim in extremely high temps.

Got it mate. I have pretty much taken a decision here thanks to your good hints and will go after a 12 oz 3sixteen for best summer usage along with a IH 14oz to use all along the seasons

If humidity is your game, I still suggest the 142 denim in 634 cut.
I deal with pretty much daily rain and close to 100% humidity from March through October.
And the fades are beautiful like the 21oz.
3:16 and SC make great jeans, but they are not on par with the perfectionist detailing and construction you see on IH.
That is simply my opinion though, and not designed to start discussion on such.

yeah i think i made a decision here:
1- 3sixteen 12 oz for some lighter jeans and alternative choice along summer
2- IH-633 14 oz (the one sold at self edge) to use all along the year and during summer too. I think those would be my best deal as the 634 have too large legs opening for my specs.
3- Samurai s710xx 19 oz for cold weather
and maybe many others in the future… i am starting to get addicted here ::)

Those looks like great choices. Enjoy and update is on the fits

I think that's a great decision you've made there. Perfect strategy.
@Appfaff I don't think anyone's going to argue that IH quality is better than 3sixteen but this recommendation is strictly based on a pair that's most comfortable in hot weather. If IH made a 12oz denim jean I'm sure that would be my recommendation

Very true manufc
iron man - they snug up in the wash for sure, but I am Active enough in them that they stretch back in 3-4 days.
Hope that helps!
