Introduce Yourself Here
-
Hello everyone, I’m Dean from South Yorkshire, happy to be here.
Went down the Iron Heart rabbit hole at the end of last year when all my other jeans died from crotch blowout at pretty much the same time. Massive amounts of research led me to Iron Heart and a pair of 555 Slubby…
Then very quickly to a Pale Rider… then very quickly to selling my entire wardrobe on eBay and starting from scratchCould not be happier that I’ve found this brand and community, I finally feel like myself in what I’m wearing at 37 years old!
Definitely in this for the long run, I’ll pluck up the courage to upload some pics in the future.
Hope everyone is well and nice to meet you all

Hi all
Joined the forum last year and have been lurking a bit since then but thought I would introduce myself. I’m from the Boston area and have been trying to find the “perfect” denim for a while now.
Will be down in NYC this month and I’m finally going to check out Self Edge and see if the 777s or 888s will work for me.
If they happen to have any UHF in the store my arm could be twisted to try those as well..Looking forward to researching more and learning from the community!

@AdamJ Thanks! I'm leaning towards the 777 after seeing some videos of them on the Snake Oil instagram feed but also getting some info via the podcasts too.
I'm one of those guys that needs to try it in person..don't have a great pair of jeans to use as a guide to blind order unfortunately!@goosehd thanks! oh yeah...I have the list going in my head already. It's also a tattoo appt trip as well so I'm already prepared to go home broke!
Hoping to maybe pick up a few things, but mostly want to prepare myself with the size options ahead of the trip to Japan in the fall -
@hbg1 What are you getting for a tattoo and who are you getting it with? If you haven't seen it, there is an excellent thread with some inspiration: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/topic/73/tattoos/2?_=1686340389037

@goosehd Awesome, I'll have to bookmark that feed. Thanks for sharing that!
Finishing up a leg sleeve at King's Avenue with Mike Rubendall, should be this appointment and maybe one more after that to finish up the shading and get into color.
Probably about 8-10 hours left on it.This most recent one is a snake and skull with some cherry blossoms to tie in the tiger/cherry blossoms on the back...I'll try to post some photos in that thread.

Hey guys, thought I’d share an update as requested.
Self edge was great, had every intention of just looking but picked up my first pair of Iron Heart yesterday!
Went with the IH-777S-142bb, should be here in about a week! Also need to add some photos to the tattoo thread as well, had a great 4 hour session today. Thankfully I’ve got a week for the swelling to go down
Now to start looking at flannels…what have I gotten myself into

Hi, my name is Tom and I have a denim addiction. It all started with some gateway Unbrandeds, then Bravestars, and now IH. I got tired of the same ol weaksauce target jeans that buckle under abuse, and Carhartt's fit like shit. Levi's had reduced quality and became inconsistent and difficult with sizing. I don't want to wear jeggings, I want something that is going to hold up to motorcycling, wrenching, chopping and hauling trees, tracking deer, and wrasselling in gravel if I so happen to. When I get into something, I always take it too far, and that's what I respect about this company IH. I believe you get what you pay for in most cases, but there is a point of diminishing returns. IH seems to be maximum yield for the moneys, and the community here, facilitated by the brand itself, is on another level. I'm new to this, but I think I'll be around a while. I want to thank you guys for being cool.
