@goosehd a good one for sure, I saw Pantera as a teenager and I’m seeing them open for Metallica next month.
Phil is terrible but the music is still incredible all of these years later. -
They’re dead to me. Fuck Phil
-
@mclaincausey yeah, I agree about Phil but I think they’ve got Dave Lombardo with them now and I don’t dislike that dude.
That’s how I’m telling myself I’ll get through the show anyway…
(I also realize I typed that other message out at 5 AM and it seemed as if he was passable for me, he definitely is not.) -
I LOVE Lombardo. I don’t find anything you said objectionable at all, was just expressing my disgust for Phil

Went to see BANE two days ago and it was amazing

There have been a couple of good shows here in Hamburg recently.
Scowl and Zulu played a few weeks back and ripped, I’m still buzzing from that show. If you don’t know Scowl, you should check them out.
Gel is playing tonight am I am really looking forward to it.
Anyone else here heard these bands?

Super into 200 Stab Wounds, Vomit Forth, Gates To Hell, and Corpse Pile at the moment.
Any further bands in this genre that I don't really know the name of please hit me!

@Graham love me some death metal. I don't know much about brutal death metal like Vomit Forth but they certainly are br00tal. Here is a band I'm familiar with you may have heard of. I saw them at Maryland Death Fest in 2009 or 2010. You might enjoy that festival. Takes place in Baltimore though so kind of far from you.

@Tago-Mago nice hell yeah man and such an amazing name for a band too.

More Death Metal:
Speed/Black Metal
Hellripper
(one dude band sounds like it was recorded in Hell) -
@Oaktavia From beyond is a killer album. @Graham If you’re into death metal in general, I’d suggest Death, old Entombed, Dismember, Sulphur Aeon and Bloodbath. Not Brutal Death Metal, just good old-school Death Metal. Hypocrisy is one of my old-time faves, too. And apologies if I’m boring you with yesterday’s news

I'm a bit behind, but just got into Sleep Token. I didn't like them at first and the clean, smooth vocals aren't what i normally lean toward. They're so weird and unpredictable, but I instantly recognized the talent. I am now full nerd mode. There's definitely Deftones DNA in there, and all kinds of other stuff. Metalcore, Djent, Gospel Funk, The prog factor is way high too, and that combined with the lore really reminds me of Coheed & Cambria. Probably the best thing I've heard all year.
