IHSH-295-IB - 14oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo/Black

::) maybe it is not that bad as I thought. at least it looks not so bad on the quick pic in the restroom at work.
think it needs a bit of wearing first to get softer and to mould to the body.
under the shirt I wear a henley with long sleeves and a tshirt
what a difference to my 12oz shirt, this thing is killer -
@Daniel San I get what you are saying, but I do not recall gaining much shrinkage from washing mine…but I do not think I hot washed it. Hard to remember. A hot wash won't hurt and might make it a little less out-of-the-bag feel to it. I have had similar concerns with new shirts and have found that much of the worry is lessened with lots of wear.
Either way, even if it is a little big, it's still be a wonderful piece to add to your collection. The fit pic looks solid. The sleeves will shorten a bit with the honeycombs settling in.

I think it looks really good, but then again I much prefer a shirt being just a little too big vs a little too small — this one looks nice, no pulling at the placket, looks trim around the sides. The arms do look a little long, but this is true for most IH shirts, and Oaktavia's right by saying they'll start to shrink up as you wear the shirt. I usually roll my sleeves up a little, but that's just one way to alleviate the length.

Thank you gentlemen !
Maybe I will wash it later with 40C and low spin 600rpm.
Will report -
@Daniel San you might want to consider getting it fully wet under the shower before putting it in the washing machine — I think this one can marble, so the pre-soak can keep it from getting unevenly wet.

Good idea…I wouldn't mess around or take any chances.
I also want to echo what was said about IH shirts being a little big- I've had shirts that are a tad small and it was a hard pill to swallow when I eventually accepted it was time to size up. A little big is much preferred and definitely more comfortable.

I always soak my jeans and shirts before I wash them in the machine.
Think Reuben wrote about this some time ago, and since then I do so.Oaktavia you are absolutely right , a little bigger is better than to tight of course

Today had me realizing how short of a winter we get here, and why some of my IH stuff (this being no exception) takes so long to get some real wear on. I was wearing mine out to run some errands, and even at 70F I was getting pretty roasty haha… I might have to turn the AC on

Yeah for whatever reason I feel like I can tolerate heavy pants a lot more during the warmer weather than tops. Nonetheless trying to really wear the hell outta my XHS before it gets too full-on Texas.

That'll be one mighty tux

Weather in SoCal finally cooperated today. This is one of those IH shirts that is so much more in real life. Glad I finally picked it up.

I always wonder how many people understand the Bums_Fan reference. You most certainly did.
