IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
sorry if this sound stupid but when you guys soak the 634S for the first time, you guys did it with hot water or just water from the tap?
-
hmm alright thanks. but, damaged patch? what'd you mean?
-
^ thanks Giles. will be careful when i soak the 634S.
-
I've put IH's in scalding hot water from the tap, the leather patch was fine. Maybe a little dry, but it was fine
You wind up with crispy leather patches when you boil the jeans
Before you ask: there is no good reason to boil your jeans. Usually people do that when they've bought a pair of jeans that are too large and think that if hot water will cause some shrinkage, boiling water will cause MASSIVE shrinkage
-
hahaha I'll never get a chance to boil my jeans. I can barely fit into them now. hoping after prolong wearing, it'll stretch more.
-
Does the waist fit right?
there's some space. just the thigh area. hopefully it'll stretch as time goes.
-
Might not be the right cut for you…
I reckon so too. will see how the 634S fit when they arrive. I know I have huge thighs thanks to cycling and rugby.
-
It either will stretch or you will get use to it after several wear. . Don't worry my friend
hopefully mate. cos today's the 2nd day I'm wearing it but I don't get to wear it all the time in office.
-
just wondering, do you guys soak your 634S when you first got it? and if i got it hemmed with G, do i have to soak the hem to let the "new" stiches "settle-in or bed-in"? sorry im kinda confused. some say don't soak to make use of the starch for creasing while others say soak to allow the denim to "settle-in or bed-in". cheers!
-
no need even though I got the length altered? awesome! thank you G.
-
great! I shall wear em' later and thrash the shit outta this beauty. somehow its not as stiff as the 666S despite being heavier. makes it less daunting to wear it.
-
I soaked mine before the first wear, just because that's what I do with all my jeans. Didn't make a bit of difference. I won't do that again, since it's basically a waste of time.
