IH-634D - 17oz Duck Straight Cut Jeans - Brown
-
Stoked to try these as my first pair in the 634 cut!
-
Well, damn. I've been wanting these forever. I suppose I should log in more often, so I don't get blindsided when things pop up on Instagram.
-
Thanks @guiltyparty. The 33 was perfect.

X-post from WAYWT.
Debut outing in the 634 duck!Absolutely love this cut in this fabric - much prefer to my 888 duck.
I ordered my usual 634 Tag (21 and 25oz sizing) and then the size up as well, and glad I did - ended up sizing up in these and extremely pleased with the fit.
Perfect fabric as the weather is warming up!
-
@long_john86 Is there any particular reason you needed to size up on these? I'm normally 33 tag (also in 21 and 25 oz).
-
@natefreezy there isn’t as much stretch in the duck (personally I don’t find them as forgiving, so to speak), which resulted in the thigh and top block being a little problematic for me.
I could have gone with usual tag, but it was on the edge, and I prefer a comfortable fit with full ability to move around/squat down/do a mid-air splits
-
@ natefreezy. If you own a 21oz pair measure it after it has been worn and stretched and use those measurements to get a duck fabric because you will not get the strech from them as you usually do with the 21oz denim and the 25oz. That has worked for me very well on duck.
-
Thanks guys - yeah my 21 oz worn in measure at 34.25" waist, which is right between the 33 and 34 tag. Maybe I can request something in that range from the actual inventory.
-
Also @long_john86 how do these do in warmer weather?
-
@natefreezy I wear a pair of 666D as comfortably as 21 oz denim in 36 degC weather. I have high tolerance to heat & humidity so a comparison between fabrics may be more useful for your purposes.
-
@natefreezy I think they are great for the warmer months - exactly why I prioritised buying them when I did. For me a great spring/summer alternative if I am feeling a little too hot/overwhelmed to wear the 25oz

I picked up a size 32 of this beautiful duck jeans at Black & Blue in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Due to hot weather I haven't worn them much but so far I like them a lot!
