Learning moments in my denim journey

Before joining the forum I “Tried” shrinking a pair of 21oz years ago by boiling them in a large pot… totally overlooked what might happen to the leather patch if submerged. Came across the old patch while doing some spring cleaning this morning and figured this the perfect thread to share.
If only I had known of Filthy and his mad scientist expertise at the time -
@Oaktavia oh shit i missed this, i remember you saying you were going to do this with that pair. I think they look like a rad beater pair. I like em, and think they absolutely have a place in the rotation. Painting pants and yardwork pants should all be this cool.

@WhiskeySandwich yeah! Thanks man! I have paused this process but plan to continue when I have more free time during summer break which starts after next week. Doubled down blasphemy.

Here’s my greatest denim failure:
Tried to emulate @Nik and his fantastic bleached pair with some cheap secondhand 25oz. Now I have acid wash Iron Heart! 666 is also a less comfy cut for me, so these only get worn for yard work and painting these days.I somehow feel sad for that pair of jeans
. Poor thing.
