Daniel San‘s little holiday thread
-
We are in Winterberg for our first little holiday with 3 kids . So I‘ll post some pics of our adventures
Today we visited a stalactite cave, and luckily we were the only ones and got a "private " tour with a guide
-
afterwards we met the little big buck and the
big big buck in person
-
@Daniel-San I guess the last pic is after you told him he’d make a great shirt
-
than we went to Germanys largest and highest free suspension bridge in Willingen
️ and that’s even I developed a fear of heights years ago . But the girls wanted to go there.
holy shit….that’s high…
guess what ? I made it only 50 meters and almost shit my pants I had to return while the girls made it all the way to the other side .
I guess I might have made if the bottom was not like this
was pure horror to look through
at the highest point it’s over 100 meter high . -
@Daniel-San said in Daniel San‘s little holiday thread:
almost shit my pants

-
because of the real bad weather today, we decided to visit an old pewter and lead mine .
It’s been used for around 450 years !! and closed in 1974. since then it’s a museum mine.
this is the original office of the director:
few machines they used :
up there in the mirror it says:
here comes the man responsible for your safetythen we went down the mine with a tiny train
pretty strange feeling to drive deep down with a little train , and it was very loud and rumply.
and we met the holy Barbara deep down there
-
@Giles
they didn’t have small helmets, we were a little irritated at first too. But the guide told us it’s just a protection when hitting the pretty low ceiling at some points and not because things can fall down. -
What a nice trip !
I'm also from a region where mines were present everywhere. Always very interesting to see that.
-
@Neru-6
it’s amazing to see all the big machines. They all had to be assembled down there and it took years for the big stuff to be completed. crazy -
@Daniel-San true, my grand-father and two of my uncles worked in the mine, they always had some good stories about it.
