Where does everyone live?

Hi and my regards from Ugchelen in The Netherlands….
At 61 years I'm not new to denim, by I am a novice to Iron Heart. Thought I'd dive right in and am wearing a 634XHS right now.
And I love it. I had the idea it would be a stiff and scratchy one to break in, but it's actually quite comfy from the start. Off course it's a heavy basterd, but I'm loving it....
Hope to find inspiration overhere to get more IH in my collection ....

HI IH
Another Dutchie ^ , half the age of Sieger but also novice to IH and living in Dordrecht..
4 years ago I competed in the DWC with local brand Tulp Jeans,
Last 2 years been wearing the Samurai S710NBK, which was hard as the cotton threading is horrible imho.
So figured, for next 2 years I go for the brand with the reputation of truly being workwear quality.Just ordered a pair of IH-777s-21 and can't wait for them to arrive..
I enjoy fades as an artform, I front-pocket carry and prefer small cuffs and short inseam (ankle height), but considering to get some stacks on my IH's if it suits…

Hi @Sieger
When I read you're from Ugchelen, I imagined it would be a town in Limburg…
How wrong I wasAnyway, welcome!

Hi
I am from Birmingham and recently did a Marie Kondo job on my wardrobe and I found few items that I truly loved.
I am rebuilding my jeans wardrobe and looking to find a slim tapered jeans. And decent western shirts. The forums are great and I hope to add my two cents and make it better. Welcome all denim lovers (and leather jacket lovers too (I count myself as one).

Welcome @Denim dunce .. have you picked up any IH yet? Sounds like the 777 or 555 should be on your radar.

Hi neph
They both are! I am torn between them. Just the hem is the sticking point. I find the best jeans I own have a leg opening of 7 inches. However, I will have to shorten them when I get them and I have worn the hell out of them for a year. After I have them tailored will the opening be even bigger than the measurements on the website. Maybe I can get some second hand ones and see how they feel? I know there will be some variation between them. Decisions decisions!!!

@Denim:

Depending on the taper you will increase the hem opening a little but it is really marginal.
The 777 will increase a little more than the 555 as the latter tapers mostly through the thigh and is relatively straight from the knee down, while the 777 tapers all along the length of the leg.

Been a long time fan of Iron Heart but decided it was time to get involved in the forum. Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am so excited to meet everyone!! Cheers!!

Welcome! It’s always wonderful to see folk from New Mexico show up here. I joined the forum back in 2011 while at UNM, and have been back and forth from Burque to Santa Fe ever since. Never seen anyone else wearing Iron Heart in real life tho, what about you? Enjoy it here, this is a special place!
Here was my chill spot while at school. I miss hiking Sandia

Thanks for the add, lots to learn and admire
Chiming in from the suburbs of Vancouver BC with my almost 1 year old IH555-01 and already eyeing the 25oz version. Some of my past denim:
- N&F jade selvedge and stretch indigo
- japan blue JBO-410
- RGT Stanton 15oz
Question: i see what looks to be imminent crotch blowout (thinning around the area). Hasn’t busted but has all the signs. I know that IH offers lifetime repairs at no cost (one of the many reasons why i moved to IH), just wondering at this moment what the turnaround time would be?
Here’s some fade pics and also my other hobby

@oakley_fanatic Welcome to the forum. Good to have you onboard.
As for the repair service, here is the link:
https://www.ironheart.co.uk/content/wear-and-repair
You are best served contacting the crew in Gosport directly, but to my eyes that looks like minor repairs. If so the lead time would be two weeks. I am guessing though, so the guys from the brand can tell you for sure. Hit them up on the link provided on the website.

Hello. New to the forum and from Boston, MA.
I only recently decided to rebuild my wardrobe and get out of fast fashion. Ideally I will keep a more minimalist collection of fine quality things I love rather than the large collection of things I don't really care for. As much as I'd like a vast collection of Iron Heart I went the route of trying a few things from a number of brands instead of stocking up on mostly Iron Heart. If I find myself gravitating more toward only a few of those brands in the future I could see myself selling off some things and growing the IH collection.
Here is all I have currently:
IH-526L
IHSH-269-PPL
IHSH-226-IYEI do wish I had gotten a pair of 555s. I'm sure the day will come. When I was looking at my first nicer denim a few months back a pair of 555s were at the top of my list, but I was convinced to go for a pair of Benzak BDD-006 instead. That Benzak pair is wonderful and also greencast. Can't wait to see how it fades. But I do think I need to try some IH eventually. Perhaps a nice heavier weight for colder weather.

Hello from Northern Germany,
I discovered the IH store in Hamburg in late summer kind of accidentally - we were on our way from the parking lot to another store, never knew it was there. Went in, saw a lot of nice things, tried an IHSH-261 but couldn't pull the trigger for a >300€ shirt at that time. Coming from brands like Pike Brothers, it was still quite a hike. But it stuck in my head..
Fast forward to January: My SO got me the 62-IND for my birthday. And. I. love it. The fabric, the build quality, the fit - it really is has different feel to it.
And that shirt flipped the switch - I gotta have the 261-BLK I tried in summer. But at that point I learned: Want a specific shirt? Buy it quick! Of course it was sold out everywhere..
I went on with my search for either a 261 or a 270. I still like the western cut a bit more - especially because of the snap buttons - but the 270 is a beautiful shirt, too. I managed to find one last 270-BLK in my size (XXL) in the whole wide internet. As it happens, that shirt was in Australia (Corlection). Anyone familiar with German customs and taxes for importing..? But I bought it anyway. It currently is on it's way to me and I'm eager for it's arrival (hopefully next week). So, that is my fairly short history with IH, but I'm looking forward for the years to come. I already put a bunch of items on my list, that I will eventually get:
IH-634S
IHSH-33-T or IHSH-33-Black
IHSH-62-BLK
IHSH-276-INDI don't think, that list tends to get shorter..
I'm more of a reader than a poster, but at least I wanted to say hello to the fine people in this forum. Have enjoyed reading in here for the last days and will continue to do so.
Cheers & stay healthy

TimHi Tim, thanks for the great first post.
I think your story will be familiar to a lot of people! I also think German customs are famous around this forum [emoji1]
