IH-634S-19L-V1/V2 - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut
-
I wish I could bribe G or H to make a pair of these with a 37" inseam with some above and beyond cash money, I really like the looks of this denim oooodles.
-
So, I finally got to put these on today. They've gotten a bit tighter, and they're still insanely stiff. Depending on how they get in the next few days, I may just soak them again to see if any more starch will come out of them. The leg twist is almost comical. I'll try to get a picture showing how extreme it is on the right leg of my pair. I'll try to get some decent cell phone "selfies" of them since it's a nice, sunny day in NYC.
edit:
You can see how the selvedge line turns almost to the laces on my right leg.
Some roping already even though this is my first day wearing them.
It's difficult to catch the color difference with my cellphone, but here's a shot with my 23oz jacket.

Here's a picture showing the gauge difference in some of the thread. Those are my MBBs below the 19Ls.

just a question (because I saw it already in the 666S-19L thread too, that someone did it): why soak an already one-washed pair?
-
wondered that too
-
I do it to get the lead out (starch). They were still crisp after they dried, but they're much softer and less rough than fresh out of the bag. It was a short soak in some warm water. I agitated them before taking them out of the water to get as much out as possible. The bathwater was a dirty yellow afterwards, which I'm guessing was the starch.

I always wash my jeans when I get them home for the first time. Gets out any residual starch or other crap that may have accumulated in them before they made it into my hot little hands. I also like to wash them to verify that all the shrinking is done, so that I don't have any nasty surprises 3-6 months down the road.
Just a personal preference; I doubt it makes any objective difference.

Hey Sirxlaughs, are you normally a size 33 in 634S's? Did you go same size in these?
-
Nice fit!..
Thanks!

I don't have a pair of the standard 634S. I'm a 33 in the 634S-B and 32 in SEXIH13.

Cool mate. So your 634S 19L are tagged 33? When they break will they still be a good fit or will you need a belt you think?

Yep, my 19Ls are tagged 33. I'm sure they'll be fine. The waist was slightly smaller than 33 when I first got them. It's loosened up a bit already. The top block is snug enough that even if the waist loosens up, they won't go anywhere if I don't wear a belt. This pair is tighter than both of my other 634 cuts, and I don't "need" a belt with them either.

Perfect mate! That's just what I needed to hear!
-
Damn, this denim is tough. I'd be really curious to find out what it was like before it got washed.

Although there is a bit of stretch happening, I sized wrong in these. Practically a brand new pair for 350.00 USD shipped in the U.S. PM me if interested
Size 34 not hemmed.
Could be my favorite IH denim ever by the way!!!!
-
Sorry I couldn't help you out Z. I'm pretty much going my standard size on these at 33. They'll just be a bit slimmer.
Hahaa, but I have to juggle funds first too -
