IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo

@akh666 hei buddy, good to see you here.
Both the shirts look very good. I din’t see any button pull on the 33-OD and the length is great. Feeling it over the chest isn’t an issue in my book, in fact if I can have that without button pull then I’m normally very happy. If you find it annoying enough that you won’t wear it then that is another thing however. As for stretch, the OD os very forgiving. It won’t stretch loads, but will certainly relax with wear.
The IH-33-IND looks good. It will look even better with a hot soak or a wash as it will shrink about 1cm in all directions. I reckon it will be perfect then.

Hi mate. After much deliberation and try ons and wife input I decided on the indigo as it definitely felt better. It has to be said though I am amazed at the quality and attention to detail. I am also grateful to IH for being so accommodating and understanding. 11/10 for service.
Thanks for replying and I look forward chatting to you more.
Kindest regards

I thought they both looked good on you, although I thought the OD looked better. Maybe there’s an OD in your tag size with a little bit bigger chest/PtP measurement.
Thanks but I’ll stick with the Indigo. The photos don’t really do the fit justice to be honest. The OD is just too small to take the chance on. Thanks for the advice all the same[emoji1360]

My first Iron Heart shirt. An absolute beauty. First impressions a very substantial yet soft cotton which drapes well. Absolutely dripping with indigo. The Medium fits absolutely perfectly. Just for reference I’m 5 foot 9 and around 11 stone unclothed. Uploaded a few iPhone selfies of the shirt so excuse the quality of the photos.

Well done @Michael1984 it is a great shirt that just gets better the more you wear and wash it. I've had mine for two years now and it is a pleasure to put on every time. Fit looks good, with enough room to lose the cm in most directions that will go with the first wash.

@neph93 Thanks! I intend to hand-wash it maybe once every few months if I can get away with it in cold or lukewarm water with a mild liquid denim detergent. A clothes brush should hopefully come in handy for small stains. Looking forward to it ageing well.

@Giles Thanks! Great service from Iron Heart as always. Hope everyone is keeping well.

This is one of my favourite shirts.
It's interesting to compare the fit with Michael1984, as I am 5'10" and just shy of 12 stone (about 75kg) and I wear a size large. It fits very well and I like the fact that it gives me room to manoeuvre while not looking baggy or too big. I could probably get away with a size medium but I think it'd be a bit snug.
Perhaps that's useful info for anyone thinking of buying this shirt.

@going_to_battle Agreed it’s a fantastic shirt. Not sure if you’ve washed it yet but I’ve heard there is a small amount of shrinkage after a hot wash so I think you did well getting the large.

Mine is pretty old now and has been washed lots of times. You’re right, that’s another reason not to go for a L over a M if you’re a similar size to me.
