Who Skates?

That thing with kid’s phases and interests is frustrating. My take on it is to put aside the financial concerns (assuming you can still pay rent/buy food etc) and indulge the interest if it seems sincere now.
The worst that can happen is that it is short lived and the gear goes on eBay/to the back of the closet. The best that can happen is that he finds a rewarding hobby. I would want to give him the chance to find out.
Caveat: giving parental/financial advice to peers is a bit scary and can be a minefield so to be clear, this is my opinion only and in no way intended as criticism or a the only correct way forward.
Wise advice. The thing is, skateboarding gear is very affordable these days, and if it's split between his mom and I then it's even cheaper. When I was looking at Tony Hawk skateboards the other day they were listed at about $80. Not sure about a helmet and pads.
But yes, I also learned by doing and falling on my butt along the way. I even said as much to my son the other day about the need for practice. I told him that even Tony Hawk makes mistakes and still gets hurt….and he's a pro

Idk if anyone has posted this, but one of my favorite parts of late, not only cause it includes a bunch of IH. It's in Japan no less!

Once you go long, you never go back! The Tan Tien should be a great ride.

Checking the scenes, reading actual mags and watching videos, I don’t see many to any pads at all.
But as we are here on the Iron Forum, let’s talk about your most appreciated Pads you used over the time and now.
Used Pro Designed for over three decades proud and intensively! They are the most comfortable and long lasting safety gear I ever owned.

It's been so long I don't even remember which pads I used back in the 80's – it's whatever brand was popular back then. I had a Pro-tec helmet as well.

Do any of you know of any legit online sources for the above design in a t-shirt? The ones i've come across appear to be bootlegs and I want the real deal. Seems odd that Vision Street Wear doesn't reproduce this design as a tee, unless they don't own the rights.

Lol, for Father's Day, i got a long board. Not really a long board as it is a cruiser, but it's a better ride than my old street deck.
I asked for it so i could cruise next to the 4 year-olds while they ride their bikes. It's a Loaded Board Coyote.
