@goosehd I wasn’t on that ride as that particular group rides pretty aggressively. They were going downhill on a twisty road on a sunny day, tree lined, and lots of shadows so the pothole was hard to see. If you see a pothole you would either point or kick your foot out to alert the person behind you. He sees the rider in front of him applying brakes and he figures if he’s doing that and he’s a really good rider, then I should be doing it as well. So he’s trail braking, hits the hole which on the way out sends his foot into the brake pedal, which startled him and he immediately gets off the pedal, restoring power to the rear wheel, causing him to high side. He was riding a Road Glide at the time. He wasn’t terribly hurt, the bike was repaired. Just a flukey, very quick, turn of events. I consider him to be one of the best riders I’ve ridden with. File under shit happens.

The tail of the dragon ends in NC pretty close to where I grew up. Fun, tight, twisty road that's super popular. There are a lot of people on this road that shouldn't be....on occasion 18 wheelers.
It’s kind of like a motorcycling merit badge. I’ve seen pictures of 18 wheelers stuck on it. I was more concerned about some knucklehead blowing a corner, coming towards me. Heard squealing tires coming towards me and it’s a guy in a mustang convertible with one hand on the wheel and the other around his wife/girlfriend. Everyone was shaking their heads at that. -
@Jett129 That’s the thing about riding as when I first started, I was too dumb to know all of the hazards and the shit happens. The more I ride, the more I realize how much can go wrong and how quickly it does so.
My brother in law was taking an off ramp that he/I have ridden a million times before and he hit a patch of sand/absorbent from a car accident earlier in the day. The sand was put down to soak up all of the fluids from the accident. He hit it and slid out from the corner/ramp, laying down the bike, and breaking a couple of ribs. Picked it up from adrenaline and rode home (about 5 miles) to discover the broken ribs…
I love riding and don’t know when I’ll stop, but I don’t ride as aggressively as I used to.
Throw in multiple drivers and cell phones and things have gotten a lot more interesting every time I go out.

@endo @louisbosco thanks guys! It's very raw and I like that a lot. Offcourse I'm dreaming of bigger bikes but for now it's perfect
