fudge those look great @wolle , even with the little weird ripple sole
-
That ripple sole is awesome.
-
I like em too, but it's weird compared to what I usually see (danite, stacked leather, marshmallow, sure I'm missing one or two but you get what I mean).
I had a pair of ripple sole Oak Streets a while back but they were huge ripples & they felt like I was walking in a bouncy house kind of sort of
great looking boot, @wolle did you get them on the 1st release from 3sixteen or the rerelease?
-
So nice they had to go twice!
-
@EJS:
About the only thing you can do is get them (expensively) re-lasted…..
Can only imagine what that will cost… plus postage from the uk ... headed for the selling section I think
Contacted Viberg and the relast costs 219USD plus shipping both ways, it includes a resole and they can take up to half a size off. Thought this might be useful for anyone who has had similar sizing issues..

My Hopper engineer boots are in the post.
I picked them up today, after delays involving the Australian customs service. I managed to dodge any import duties, which is a relief.
They're made of a brown chamois leather, which I think is from Horween, and have an unstructured toe. Being unlined, I think that they'll slouch with age, and look awesomely patinated eventually.
The boots were intended as a homage to Dennis Hopper's character in Easy Rider, and were done as a part of a Styleforum group buy. There's talk of doing another run, this time with a partially structured toe, but I think they're better being a big squishy.
My only dislike is that they went with a Cat's Paw heel. These are renowned for not wearing well, and I'll have to replace it sooner than if they'd used a Vibram alternative.
