IHV-02DD - Double Indigo Duck Vest
-
I ordered the L size, but I need to size down to a medium. A bit too roomy for me. I usually roll with Giles on fit, but not this time. This style vest needs a more snug fit IMO.
I'm a medium in shirts and went with a large and it fits me well. Is yours too big in the chest or waist? I just hot soaked mine and maybe it shrank enough to make a large work for you. I'll go get measurements…
-
Ok so this is only my vest but the chest shrank to 20" even, the arm hole 11", and the opening to 20.5". Keep in mind I didn't measure prior. I will have to say that this fabric loves water. It has lost a lot of it's sheen and has picked up a lot of bruising/ character. It has become one stiff SOB as well! What about yours @UnTucked?

Hmmmm…...No. G. I advised myself. I only meant that I go with the size you usually wear as stated in the descriptions. The waist seemed way too big and a little long as well. But there is no way I wear a medium shirt as it woild be too small. I wear a L or XL in shirts with a preferred looser fit. Now I don't know what to do. I definately don't feel like shelling out $30 for return shipping if the medium is too small. I feel your sizing pain. Always a bummer when it doesn't work out. I'm afraid your predicament gives me hope, I'm a straight up XL in shirts and have an L incoming. Fingers crossed.
I reckon (hope) sizing down with vests is the way forward. Good luck!

Hmmm…. G, would you mind checking the measurements of my returned vest when it gets there? I'm a little confused here
-
Thanks. I'm hoping I got an XL by accident

Very kind, gents @rocket @Finkster @neph93 [emoji4]
I have to say this piece is strangely addictive -a perfect summer top IMO.
It's like a jacket without the sleeves. Sounds obvious but I could only really make it out once I started wearing it as my first vest…. If you miss wearing a jacket in summer, that's your solution I reckon!
With the extra length and very promising fabric, I found it to be a real gem by G and a great intro to vests- if anybody is on the fence, take the hit: like me, you are likely to be blown away by it [emoji16] -
I think you nailed it! Get one before you cant.

How are the pockets? Pretty tight or have enough space to put some items in? I would be looking at carry some camera gear like filters, light meter etc. All light over an inch thick or more.
Still on the fence with this vest. Little aging is gorgeous on this.
