White's Boots
-
It´s the standard last and I am totally fine with EE. Was a little bit concerned about the massive difference in length so I got back to Kyle who then gave me the advice to take 10.5 instead of 10. Still a whole size in difference while most of guys here wearing RW´s and White´s in identical length.

^ If you've got quite wide feet then it probably makes sense, even a full size down. Every width up from the standard D adds somewhere in the the region of a half inch in total circumference to the boot which roughly translates to a couple of mm all over so two widths above the norm will also be increasing thee goth slightly at the same time. It has to work that way to keep te shape of the boot/ last in tact. Hope that helps.

I wear a 9.5D or 10d in most shoes, but wear an 8.5E in White's and Allen Edmonds.

Thank you!
But I can't find the "False Tongue" item on this page…Is that the default setting?
Actually, I want to mix 2 kinds of Horween leather, Burgundy & natural... But there is just brown. Is it equal to natural? -
can some one give the details on the difference of close vs standard trim aside from single or double stiching in the sole?
As far as I know, that's it. Close trim is cut a little closer to the foot and only has room for a single row of stitching. Standard trim has a little wider edge to the sole and has enough space for a double row of stitching.

No they probably haven't updated all the boots with all the leathers. Email Kyle at orders@bakershoe.com and ask him if it's available. He usually responds quick and he humors our crazy requests.

Specmvl - I'm a 13 in RW and 12.5 in White's. the 12.5 White's are roomy enough for thick socks.
Ohighyo - thnks, the #8 cxls look better and better every time I wear them - if there is such a thing as a "dressy" boot this is it.

Finally pulled the trigger! No special configuration by any means, was looking for a versatile pair of boots. Again many thanks to the IH forum, such a great resource and community.
Happy to hear your comments, especially critical ones.

Welcome to the club. You just purchased the last boots you will ever need. Only problem is it never works out that way.

That horse is going to only get better. Nice build!
