White's Boots

Black dress is what you need Flo, it's tough can take a shine or be dulled down, hard wearing, versatile and breaks in beautifully. My favourite boot leather ever!
-
My Bounty Hunters in black dress and rough out, just over a year of wear.
-
How does black CXL age? My brown CXL Indy boots scratch easily and show up a lighter brown. What colour comes through when the black equivalent takes knocks?

Thanks gents!
Some Features I want:
6-7" height
"Bump" Toe or the like, not a flat one
Standard heel size, maybe like the one Jordan posted, but only one layer of leather
Curved heel
Not sure about the sole yet, simple and just a little profile would be bestAll These Options can get quite confusing…Would the Classic Work boot be my best Option?
-
Thanks again!

For a bump toe max the work boot/ c461 last is the best option, it can vary on the SD last.
Max… ditto what he said.
I like the c641 last, I have it on the classic dress (semi-dress upper). I wish I'd gotten the work boot/bounty hunter style upper, though.
I know there are a lot of folks who don't like cxl, but I like it (i have cxl boots in natural and burgundy) - and my friend keeps his black cxl nomads all buttered up with obenauf's and it is just so rich, soft and nice. not recommended for work boots or fire-fighting and such but for normal wear around town I like it.
This is a 6" classic work boot in burgundy cxl i copied over from ultrasound Facebook...
Here is a pair of cougar's in black dress for another look at that leather…

Max you want the smoke jumper plain toe, in a 7 or 8" not the semi dress or bounty hunter. the smoke jumper has more of a bump toe than the other options.

Thanks for all the input! The work boots above would be pretty much what I like in terms of shape. Now I have to decide between White's and Vibergs…not too easy.
-
I have to admit, that the Service Boot by Viberg is 100% what I am looking for in terms of shape. The White's I tried on were indeed heavier and the last was great to walk in. So I'm pretty torn between the two. How did you size in your Vibergs, Whites and Red Wings?
-
Heavier is not always better But my heaviest pair (8" SJ, Vibram 100…) is also my most comfy pair, thanks to the non-lowered curved heel
They gonna get tons of wear next Winter at the Kindergarten! -
