yes we are very classy in non-gentrofied-brooklyn where the "normal" folks tend to steer clear from.
my daughter is great, she entertains all my bull$h!t the boy & the wife are way too cool for the warm-ups -
oh & the baskets are for your trash (shells & the sort in the little basket & the gentleman in the shop come over & dump it out from time to time)

Now that it's looking like I'll be living in the same house for the next 13-18 months I may have to give curing my own ham a shot. I've cured duck breast, lardo, and a few other small things before but nothing requiring that kind of time commitment. Off to the planning stages…
