@spacecadet love the British tan. Hope they fit great.
I went to a birthday party yesterday and one of their “house rules” is no shoes. I was a bit salty to have to shed my Warrens.
I know the feeling. My wife is Asian so boots in the house are not an option.
The fit is great. I’m lucky that going TTS (11E) is pretty perfect for me. These work better for me than my LTT Jobmasters for some reason.

The comedian Sebastian Maniscalco takes issue with this as well.
I have a dress rule. I don't go to anything or anywhere that has dress rules….
Like taking shoes off in Japan? :o

Look at it as an opportunity for everyone to check out your boots without having to stare at your feet the entire party. It's a public service, really.

I forgot that
Modified version…
I have a dress rule. I don't go to anything or anywhere in UK or when I am on holiday (especially holiday) that has dress rules....
Ok. Let me try. I have a dress rule. I have not been to the UK, except that one time I had a layover at the London airport. That does not really count though but I should get back on track. When I do go to the UK one day, I will wear Wesco boots unless I go somewhere where not taking off shoes is a sign of disrespect. Did I get it right?

In Hawaii they say “please remove your slippas”
and don’t take nicer ones on the way out. Thats probably a Japanese custom that the islands adopted

Ha, yea my friend’s wife is Korean, so that might be where it comes from. Next time I’ll just hang out on the deck with a cigar and let the party come to me.

More like “eh take off yo slippahs” with a “wassa mattah wichu” under their breath.

Yeah I gave the diplomatic version. Like the sign that hangs on the door.

I’m surprised it took this long to come to the realization that the solution is: more boots. Duly noted. “But honey, what about travel to Asian or Norwegian areas? Do you want me to be woefully unprepared?!”
-
Any wardrobe problem can be improved by adding boots.
