Day 2 with these. Haven't softened up one bit. They might even feel stiffer and more rigid than yesterday :P.
Can't wait see how these are when they're broken in. I have had some unsanforized pairs from other brands, and they softened up fairly quickly. These don't really feel like they'll take as quick haha.
Sir Giles, you sure these aren't secretly unsanforized?
Edit: didn't mean the eyeroll smiley!

nope, they're just unsecretly sexy weft goodness

I'm dying of curiosity about this denim. Luckily it's winging its way across the Atlantic tonight, en route to my grubby little mitts (and legs).

Oh man, I totally didn't mean to use the eyeroll smiley lol. I meant the one!
But yeah. I'm loving this fabric. Mine seem to be fading already in some spots!

top two images are most recent, tried to capture some of the fading that has started with the top pic.
Bottom two are when they were just a few days old. Loving these so far. Ideally I would like to get them hemmed a bit but I don't want to be without them for that long so I'll probably just wait till the summer when I won't be wearing them much.

I love that this denim looks like it's going to be a fast fader. All of the other IH denim I own seems a bit stubborn (I don't own the regular 18oz or the UHR denim). I'm pleasantly surprised at how different this denim is from all my other IH denim, actually. Looking forward to seeing it evolve.

I've got a month of good solid wear on these and they haven't softened up a whole lot honestly. These are tough ones. About due for their first wash though and signs of fades in their infancy are popping up.

That's really weird. All my other IH denim either started out soft or got there pretty quickly. I wonder what makes this denim so different in that respect. It's still cotton after all. Mind you I'm not complaining, I think it's pretty cool actually, to have a pair of IH that's that different than the rest of my IH jeans, and I can't wait to see a well-worn pair. The fades are gonna be killer.

Oh I know, I was thinking the same thing regarding most IH fabrics starting out or getting soft quickly. I don't know why it is either and I'm not complaining as it's different like you said, and honestly it's only super crispy by IH standards as I've had plenty of jeans that are much crispier by other brands. Either way I am really loving these.
