Are these 14oz? They look great.

Sam 'should really have worn this size for the product pictures in hindsight' wears Small
I'm an actual 33 waist and usually wear the size that Sam wears, how is he fitting in to a small that measures 30.5? I'm currently torn between a medium and small..

Winchy and I usually wear the same size jeans, but I chose XL while he seems to prefer L in the photos. I think it’s up to personal taste of how you want them to fit. The fabric stretches a fair amount. You could go tight small, like Sam, or go for a roomier fit. I love mine. They feel perfectly relaxed, like sweats should.

These are hard to size in the sense that, unlike a pair of jeans, these have a waistband that stretches like you would expect sweat pants to stretch. We measured the waist flat as per normal, but did not test how much each pair stretches.
I would base decisions off the other measurements predominantly. -
Regarding the waist band, I would also add that the weight of the fabric should also be considered. I went with the XL (these are sleeping/lounging pants so I wanted them relaxed) and my only “issue” is that the fabric is so heavy I have to pull the waist band fairly tight to keep the pants up around my waist. It’s nothing obnoxious and it’s not a huge “issue”, but something you may want to take into consideration when sizing.

Here is me in a pair of mediums. I apologize for the crap mirror selfie. In the end I'm glad that I went with the mediums. I'm sure a small would have stretched to accommodate my actual size 33 waist, but I didn't want to be too tight in the crotch area and have an overly visible bulge, I'd like to be able to wear these to Christmas morning with the family after all…

Those look great.

I had my eye on these since they were released last year. Picked these up from the outlet last week, but won’t get any wear until the weather cools down. These are great though.
