Can anyone chime in on how these breath / feel in the heat as compared to the 14oz fabric?

I think they are warmer but it hasnt been horribly hot here yet.

These are my first pair of Iron Hearts and I'm loving them. Currently at one month in these.
The fabric on these has a lot of character and a lot hairier than I thought they'd be. The brown weft adds a really nice touch especially since the indigo is coming off very quickly. I'll try to take some close-ups of the fabric and areas of wear.
Cheers.

@truongj28 congratulations. I find this denim really interesting. Would love to see some pics.
Welcome to the forum, btw

Thanks brother! Still wearing them in, fades started showing quickly in high-stress areas but overall it's a slow fade (compared to my other denim). Think it's a pretty breathable denim given the humid weather I live in. Gonna take some pics of the fabric later this week. Cheers!

Still a lot of pairs in the outlet which surprises me. Great cut, unique denim, and a great price…..

This one’s next on my list, will hopefully buy in a week or two. I have concerns with sizing, namely that I’ve never dealt with such a high rise jean so don’t have anything to compare with. I wear a tag size 31 in Edwin ED-55 which have around a 33 actual waste measurement and a significantly lower rise. I guess I could expect to deduct an inch or two from this measurement to account for the higher rise of the 888? Also do owners of these fabric wish to share their experiences with stretch? I’d rather size slightly small knowing the jeans will stretch than over-size and end up with unflattering sag! Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I think you’re right to go down on waist size. That is my experience with the 888 (I’ve actually gone down two sizes strictly speaking, as I take 35” as a preference in 666 or 555 and find 33” in the 888 often works.
The high rise takes a little getting used to, but I love it now. It’s effect is minimised with wear however as the front of the top block starts creasing.
Can’t help with the fabric as I don’t have this denim. Soz.

I got an inch of stretch out of my pair

@neph93 and @Anesthetist thanks very gentlemen. Really useful.

I’m so curious how these will fade over the long haul. Another poster stated that they felt great right off the bat, but do any owners notice a difference in softness with the Eco denim vs. the non recycled jeans. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t the shorter recycled fibers make these less soft and comfortable?

I cant speak to the long term fading but mine are already showing off some beautiful electric blues. They are plenty soft and very comfortable [emoji106]

Received a pair of tag size 33 yesterday. As this cut is an unknown quantity to me, especially the high rise, my size selection was a bit of a shot in the dark. Every dimension is pretty much spot on for me, except for the waist which is causing concern. I never felt I had a fat gut, but these jeans are making me reconsider! The top button does up quite easily, but it’s causing a bit of belly and love handle overhang. Beautiful! It’s not loads, and isn’t noticeable under a T-shirt (I believe)
I’m anticipating about an inch of stretch to the material, which would definitely make them fit better around the waist. I don’t think the slight overhang will be completely gone tho. If I were to size up (which isn’t possible as 34 is out of stock) I think the other dimensions would be less favourable.
So, my question for guys who own this cut but maybe have a bit of excess padding around the gut, how do you size this area? Is this cut only for guys with rock-hard stomachs?
I can (reluctantly) post photos of the fit around my gut if needed

I think you just need to allow for some stretch and get used to the higher rise.
