IHSH-221 - 13oz Double Faced Cotton Work Shirt - Indigo
-
Picked one up from Rivet and Hide yesterday afternoon as wanted it for the weekend.
Fabric is rather substantial. Certainly more heavy duty than I was expecting but lovely nonetheless!

Just had mine delivered. Beautiful fabric, if you told me it was 13oz opposed to 9oz I wouldn’t believe you. Compared to my wabash workshirt it doesn’t feel any heavier than that. But can I also be greedy and ask you guys to make a western out of this material? It one of the most beautiful blues I’ve had in a shirt in ages.

XXL incoming! Can not wait!

I still don’t know what double faced means. I think I’ve read all the explanations. Still. Don’t. Understand.

Has this changed from 9oz to 13oz?
Joe
Yes, we were told it was 9oz originally but recently it was updated to 13oz
Oddly, this confusion made the shirt even more appealing to me. I got an XL and added a GAH button to it. I figure a heavyweight like it deserves a standout button. I’ll post pics when I get it but it won’t be until several weeks down the line.

All it means to me is inside and outside of the shirt looks the same!

@Peterpiper that is a great shirt, a great fit and a tidy photo. Looks darker than I’d imagined, in the wild.
On another note, I’ve said a few places on here I the last year that I’d reached peak indigo and didn’t want anymore unless it was on jeans. But between the kersey, the IHSH-225 and this I’m changing my mind. The fabrics are wonderful and the depth of indigo achieved quite beautiful.

Thanks @neph93, it was the chance to wear something different in indigo without it being denim that attracted me to this one. That’s not to say that I love denim shirts, but it’s nice to have options..

I saw your story on IG. Looks great man!! Is that the 12mm or did you go 13?
Congrats on the shirt. How’s it feel weight wise?
-
Haha that’s cool, Thanks!
I originally ordered the 12mm because the site says that’s normal for work shirts and top buttons for westerns. But Adam sent me a picture of it after they sewed in on because he thought it looked a bit funny, the cats eye buttons on this shirt are 13mm so I ended up paying the $10 difference for the 15mm GA button. And I’m glad I did.
As for the shirt, it’s amazing! Super soft and cozy right out of the bag. It doesn’t feel any heavier than my UHFs or my wabash shirts.
I will post some fit pics soon. Here and on IG I’m sure
Here’s the two pictures he sent me, if it helps
