received mine today!
Pre-soak measurements were accurate with the sizing chart on the website. Soaked in hot water for about an hour with agitation from time to time. I allowed them to get partially dry and now I'm wearing them until the drying process is finished. All I can say is the denim is crazy and its easy to see how it fades so well. STOKED!

100% cotton stitching on these, right? Saw some chatter elsewhere and can't recall or find out if this is the case.
Excellent fit DZ!

Pretty sure the stitching is poly/cotton; pure cotton thread just isn't strong enough for IH gear. I could be wrong about this, though…

just gave my jeans a second hot soak. I've realized the denim is so thick and starchy that the jean needs it to drape properly when worn.
Edit: basically, I recommend at least multiple hot soaks with these!

EDIT
thewickett, any agitation with those soaks? I selected the washing machine method for my 2nd soak, inside out w/ warm water and doubt that all the starch is out even now. These things are so damn stiff it's hard to be sure though.

My thoughts exactly, but was curious.

yup.. a ton of agitation the first time and none the second. Would have gone the washing machine way if I trusted the coin op machines in the dorms Either way, enough starch is gone that these fall much better… but thats not to say these aren't still crazy stiff!

my 634sr..true to size
i will say after the initial soak i got a little freaked out..i was nowhere close to buttoning the top button (i got the same tagged size as my 9634)..i totally panicked i was like "i cant believe i spent this money on a pair of jeans that dont fit!! i cant afford to buy a larger size..im gonna miss out on the annies!!!" in hopes of stretching them i button them up as far as i could (all but the top) and slept in them.. they did stretch (i move around a lot in my sleep)..that morning i pulled and pulled and pulled and after abut 15 minutes of trying i got the top button..it was insanely hard to do..mostly hurt my thumbs i got through about half of the day buttoned all the way up but i eventually just undid the top button because it hurt to bad, i wear a belt so you couldnt see that it was unbuttoned..i wore them to work the second day (cut them and chainstitched the hem, i left it a little long because it didnt seem like all of the shrinking was done in the leg) and did the same thing started the day buttoned and then half way through unbuttoned ..that night i decided to do a second hot soak (get the rest of the leg shrink out) but i was afraid of the waist shrinking more and then i would really be screwed!! so i put them on and got in the bath tub as hot as it would go hoping that leg would would just shrink around me and not get too much tighter...worked like a charm!
i wore them in the bath tub HOT and they shrank up nicely in the leg and actually stretched out a little in the waist to fit me perfect (still a little snug) but they are great now im now 2 days in fully buttoned ready to never take these suckers off!man after the first soak i was bummed.. i was at least an inch from buttoning the top button and i have a bruise on each hip from the first day..

How does the waist now compare to your IH-9634, have you measured both?
