IHJ-79-BLK - Primaloft® Gold Quilted Riders Jacket - Black

Thank you! For most shirts I am a size L, a few I have in XL. Being between sizes, I might end up getting two and sending one back. :-\
I understand the issue. I feel like if you want UHF’s and hoodies under you may me better with an L.
Arm and body length may be an issue with an M also, depending on body shape. I’m relatively short for my weight (180cm/98kg), and have T-Rex arms, so if you are tall/long in the arm then an M may not work.

Much appreciated! Based on length, L should be the right choice.
It took me a moment to gather what you meant by T Rex arms, but that led me to an article that suggests that 120 years of research were needed to determine the purpose of T. rex's arms

Quick query for the IH crew.
Is that jacket as thick as the IHV-44?
Cheers

JoshC regarding the sizing changes, was the general trend larger than previous runs? I have a S from a couple years ago that’s a bit tight under the arms. Had been considering replacing with a M.
Are changes slight enough to just size up and be good, or should I break out the measuring tape?
-
@benniejackson If I remember rightly, some of the lengths were bigger in some sizes, but not all, and some were smaller. The sleeves were shorter, and the body width was pretty consistent across the new and old measurements. I would break out the measuring tape to be 100%. If the size small is a bit tight under the arms, I would consider the medium. Having a bit of extra room isn't a bad thing. You have the option to layer it up.

Does the material relax/give at all? Particularly in the arms and the armpits? Had the opportunity to try these on (in my usual tag size for IH jackets, S) and despite going with my usual measurements and the jacket's measurements being pretty accurate, I feel like it's too snug/restrictive in the arms and armpit when wearing a t-shirt and an IH thermal or a t-shirt and an IH hoodie underneath. Sizing up would result in a too baggy fit over e.g., just a t-shirt though...
-
@cityofdelusion I got the same size as I have with UHF. It seems to be rather trim, but I found it to layer OK even with UHF despite the fact I was planning to have it only with T-shirts.
And base on what I had seen so far, it's not a material that's going to stretch. -
I ended up having to return mine as well for being too restrictive in the pits. It was a hard decision to make as it looked great on and was a perfect fit everywhere else but found the armpit hole to be tighter in this piece than any other jacket or shirt I have worn. Would be a nice addition to include this measurement in the sizing charts.

@Karol Thank you for chiming in. I was afraid that this would be the case...
I 100% (!) agree with @flannel-slut (what a nickname btw. ) The fit is perfect everywhere except the arms and the armpit hole which is rather uncomfortably snug/tight. It's a shame, as I think the jacket is super nice, fits me very well everywhere else and I really wanted this jacket for a while now. But I believe that sizing up would mess up everything else.
Also, I agree that these measurements could be additionally stated in the sizing charts as they can prove to be very helpful for others who are considering to buy this jacket.
Thanks for the comments!

For context, and in the case that it helps anyone else who's planning on getting these, here is the fit over just a (thin) T-Shirt:
