Alrighty guys, I need your advice. In your opinion, what should I go go for first: a leather jacket, or boots? I have not either and they are both insanely expensive, so one purchase will most definitely hinder the other…
Boots. Unless you live in a cold climate most of the year.

Boots. You live in LA. You don't really need a leather jacket (despite what Blackheart will say ).

I'll go against the grain here… Jacket. They look cooler.

Go back through his fit pics; you'll agree that his footwear is in greater need of a coolness upgrade.
(No hate, Ben )

For sh!ts & giggles, what items did you have in mind?

Thanks for the inputs guys…and chris, you know i agree with you, no hate taken!
For jackets, I've been thinking something along the lines of these...
Himel Heron esque
mister freedom Bronco Champ (but with the stars)
mister freedom veg tan jacket (forget what it's called, but seeing worn pictures and feeling it after its been worn has piqued my interest)
Flat head
Flat head
I believe that self edge will be getting the two flat head jackets, and I think those may be the most practical options….
Boots:
lofgreen engineer (although the last pic is of vibergs, which shape i might like better)
viberg boondocker
I feel like it'd be easier for me to pull off the leather jacket, but I'll be damned if trying on the lofgren's didn't show me what I was missing in the footwear department. I also live in southern california where it isn't very cold, but I could easily wear the jacket most nights… then again, the jackets are twice the price of the boots.
Either way, at least you guys got some nice pics out of it and thanks for your help!

Man are those sweet choices. Based on above I would go with the boondockers. You could wear them year round and on damn near any occasion. My 2 cents.
-
I agree with summ3rhays; the boondockers would be the most versatile of the boot options. Easy to dress up or down, while the engineers are a solidly casual choice.

tbh. ben, i'd go with a jacket first…you can always buy boots in the end.
as you can see on your pic where you're wearing the MF jacket, is sure looks hella cool with those converse.
so for me, a leather jacket is way more versatile (no matter if paired up with some shirts or flannels, a pair of blue jeans or some nice footwear such as sneakers)...you can always buy boots.so for me, it's the leather jacket over everything....and i think i'd get the bronco or the veg tan jacket

If i were in your shoes, I would probably go with the one that I will wear more often. If you're comfortable with the shoes that you're wearing nowadays, then go for the Jacket. I would agree with Rafa that bronco sure looks GOOD on you..
Whatever decision you made, in the end you can't go wrong with either one. Good Luck!!
-
For me a good pair of boots is a wardrobe essential whereas a leather jacket is only essential for some.

I'd likely go the boondockers for the year round wear+game changer. Man great question
