So after about 6 months of employment at the University (on the lowest rung of pay for a staff member), it was confirmed today by the Director of my department that I'll be transitioning into a new position. I've been getting trained on it for a few weeks but left in the dark about whether or not I would assume those responsibilities for the long term.
This will bump me up three salary bands and while it still is considered low pay by most, it will be the most I've ever made in my strange life. It feels amazing to actually be recognized and rewarded by the company you work for, and in such short time. My risks are starting to pay off, and my struggles are quickly starting to evaporate. Guess I didn't fuck too many things up

f^ck that, I'm running with it. new sales trade thread coming tonight with loads of goods you have all been looking for, pictures & measuring is the entire reason I have so much stuff stockpiled (well that & my perfect for me quality gear sickness that causes me to buy & bunch of goods)
this way I can thin out my herd & keep the forum clothed for maybe or maybe not cheap prices for goods that may or maybe not be in tip top shape.whoopee, I'm just being facetious or is that sarcastic ::)

Just got a message from a dude I met in Indonesia a couple of ears ago telling me that he wanted to buy "the best boots available" and wanted my opinion. After writing a 1000 word detailed reply on all the various options I deleted the lot and just replied "Get over to Iron Heart and check out the Wesco Foot Patrols".

So the girlfriend is lamenting to me the angst of finding a quality woman's boot. Not sure what she likes or is looking for, and being half a wise ass I show her what Wesco offers. Thinking if anything she'll like a more feminine option like the Phoenix. Instead she's completely smitten with the Boss and Jobmaster. This chick wants a 14" Jobmaster with commando soles and has laid out a plan to acquire them. Just when I was about to give up on this one, I find a glimmer of hope lmao
