IHSH-08SBG - 16oz Super Black Fades to Grey Western Shirt
-
Just received mine today.
HOLY SHIT
Excuse my exuberance but this might be the finest piece of IH wear I have ever laid my hands on. What a shirt.
So glad I went true to size on this. All of you who ordered this are in for a treat.
Fit pics later tonight.

Fit pics. I'm ridiculously in love with this shirt.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it's because it's super stiff (as in crazy stiff). One size down would be XS which would have been too constricting around the shoulders.
-
thank you jaco. and i totally agree with you, it's just not possible to compare this (at least not to anything i've ever owned, including the 27bk). the weight and stiffness just makes this a very different experience. i think the sleeves in particular will see noticeable changes as the denim settles and the combs develop.
it probably sounds like a lot of hyperbole on my part but this thing really does feel like that shirt you never want to take off.

ATTENTION!
The photo below is 16 OZ BLACK shirt that we recently released and it is from customer who washed the shirt before start wearing. White lines appeared after the first wash as you seen in the photo. The lines on the yoke is also from the washing.
To avoid this, I would like to suggest you not to wash when it's brand new. If you wash it right away, the fabric can not absorb enough water and it might even float on surface of water. That way, the shirt will hit the wall of washing machine more that creates unwanted lines on the shirt.
Give it a wash after you wear as long as possible to soften it up so it can absorb water that reduces the risk of having the lines. Also, very importantly, please wash it INSIDE OUT! It MUST BE! -
Major, major ouch. G is this why you put the mailed note with the shirt advising about not washing it, or did this customer wash it despite that note?
On another note, @beatle: LOL.

I have used the following to successfully machine wash my 08. I have no bathtub and hand washing is too much work.
1. Turn the shirt inside-out.
2. Make the shirt wet.
3. Use a liquid vegetable soap (powder and flakes are more likely to leave residue.)
4. Wash on the gentle cycle.
5. Do not use the spin cycle (this is the most important).
6. After washing, use a towel to soak up the extra water.
7. Lie it flat on a clothes rack to dry.
