Great idea Monday & G. I've used LP up until now but think maybe Oil is the way to go…guess i'll have the chance to find out now:)
@Max:
Super great. Thanks! Wouldn't have thought, that it makes such a difference.
yep and will be really interesting to see how the elements will change the leather over the time…
so could this be the best idea from monday ever? :P…
Yeah, I think he's shot his lot now…....
^^^^
true story, i am without lot
i always say G$ usually remembers, just give him a little time to work out the details
hope a wild animal doesn't think any of the treatments are beaver lure, HahahEha
Good point MM, although Gosport is not famous for its Beavers (beavers yes), we do have a significant population of Foxes…...
speaking of Foxes, what have you done with the lovely Madame
This is great!!
Giles, should have added a 5th with just olive oil haha
Consider it done…..
OK, so this is 5 minutes after the olive oil application…...
Brilliant stuff here!.. Really comes in handy!.. Thanks, G!..
I think my belt will be heart healthy very soon!
great idea monday and mr.g
look forward to seeing the updates, great idea
On the basis that we can't have too much comparative data, here they are after 6 days outside:
I'll apply the potions again tomorrow….
I wonder what kind of oil is in Obenauf's… I don't think it's neatsfoot, though neatsfoot oil does tend to darken leather quite a bit
I think that part of the reason that the Ober Oil sample is so dark is that it is very fluid, so it soaks in big time….
The appliance of science…....Well some oils......
Olive is my favourite.
