Gitman Vintage
-
I've got a couple of their shirts. Decent quality and fit only problem could be the size of the collars which can make some people look like harry hill. Overall I would recomend them.

Not in my experience they are not. The fit is good and none of my buttons have popped off. They wash well and keep their shape I have had no problems with either of mine with regards to loose threads . Overall I would have no hesitation in buying another one of their shirts.

I wear a size small in gitman vintage shirts. Curious to know how iron hearts shirts compare (size wise). The small gitmans fit me nicely (maybe a little snug pit to pit and a tab too long). I would be looking for a slightly less "fitted" look in iron heart shirting. Advise appreciated.

I recently bought a shirt from them. It was very nice but too small. Waiting for the bigger one now.
I normally have an L in most shirts, sometimes even M.
I ordered this in L and it was too small, especially the sleeves were too short. But then I have long arms.
So you might have to size up. -
I think it can depend where you fall on the size spectrum. I have a good handful of Gitman shirts, all in size large. They are definitely more generous fitting than my IHSH-21 which is also in a large. The shirts are very good for the price I think. No, they aren't super overbuilt like the IH shirts but at 1/2 the price I wouldn't expect that either. For oxfords they are very well made, nice buttons that are solidly attached and they hold up (and wash up) very nicely in my experience. I think the collar is one of the best things about them, they have the nicest height, shape, and roll to their button down collars. Oxford cloth is nice and substantial, but the new Japanese oxford-chambray fabric they are using on some styles this year is my favorite. It's lighter weight but just has something that I really like that is hard to describe.

Alright, I now received the shirt in XL. And if you have long arms (I need 26 inches) this is not the shirt. The sleeves are still to short and the cut is now quite baggy. L was fitting much better except for the sleeves. I should have kept that and just wear it with sleeves rolled up.
All in all a nice shirt, just not for slim guys with long arms. But I have that problem with most shirts. -
Any opinions on this shirt, anyone own one? Not sure I like the buttons.

on the hunt for a blackwatch plaid in a L for less than retail (so i can match my kids school uniforms ;D)
not sure if i would do retail on these, but you know, i say that about most things these days
