Long time, first time, but confused…. Help/Advice

*Waist: Lay your jeans flat and try and get the front and back waist band parallel. Measure the width and multiply by 2.
*Thigh: Lay the jeans flat ensuring that any the rear rise material is to the left of the centre seam and measure the TOTAL width (not just to the centre seam) ensuring that the measuring tape is at right angles to the weft (white) yarns.
sorry off my meds
On my Heshers', when flat, the front waist band is pretty far below the back waist band. What is this called?
And you are saying that i should lay them flat and pull the front waist line to be fairly even with the back, before measuring?Just want to clarify…
LOL Madmonday, I am trying to determine what pant, and I will order. Xmas is a pretty reasonable goal....

it's called a low a$$ rise.
probably can see your pubs sticking out
oh yeah, line them up per giles instruction.

Ok, measuring both the heshers and the prps jeans now.
Looks like measuring the cuff is now the full with of the jean at the opening, but just the opening itself. Is that corrent?
Asking because people were quibling over my measurements in earlier posts…

look at the flicks of the way G does it. i am sorry, but i can not tell if you are doing it right with out seeing. you my friend are giving me a headache. i am stepping away for a moment as i don't want to give you bad advice or become short with my responses & stuff.
- i thought xmas was reasonable as well

I'm not going back reading the whole thread but where are we going with this?
What trying to determine if the IH634s were a good fit, if DC4001's would be a possibility, and what other popular brand/cuts would be up my alley - based on some measurements of jeans I already own.

Thanks again for baring with me. Sorry for being indecisive and such. I got all the measurements up.

as per waist and other meas. , take 634s in 36W. and stop pondering.
36 seems sort of big since I am a 33/34 in most bottoms, and the 1inch of stretching is expected to occur.
Correct me if i am wrong, but 34 is probably what I want?
And yes, I do need to stop pondering and just bite the bullet

Optimally, you're probably a 35, but most IH doesn't come in 35. I'd suggest that if you think a size 36 634s will be too roomy elsewhere, you opt for a size 36 in the Beatle Busters.
Measuring existing jeans that fit well, in my opinion, is a better option than measuring your waist (so long as the rise of your existing jeans is similar to the jeans you're purchasing).

Just buy a pair that you think are close, we have a no quibble exchange policy…..
Last Question, and it's for you Giles.
I typically where a 34/30 in most jeans. The inseam on those 34/30's that I love dearly is actually a 31.5. They are about perfect with my ~1 inch cuff. The 34W IH634s sound great, except clearly the inseam is going to be ….very long, even after shrinking (i'm assuming).
Waiting till after to hem/chainstitch is very inconvenient, so I wanted your advice on hemming w/ my order.
Thanks,
-
They are sanforised so wont shrink, but you will get 1/2 inch or so apparent reduction in length when the combs set.
Thanks again Giles.
With That being said, a hem of ~32 should be perfect
I will probably be making my purchase very soon (today).
lastly, the 'no quibble' exchange includes if hem is apart of my order' ?
