My new S0110XJ
Denim: 17oz. Insanely slubby, soft and yelding, unusual look, nice shade of indigo. Very Beautiful. Vote: 9
Details: riveted at crotch, beautiful arcs, half lined pockets. the second rivet of the coin pocket is hidden. Solid seams. I've seen better buttons. Vote: 8.5
Cut: I'm used to better cuts, sorry. Vote 6 -
I like the cut. What bothers you?
-
a '6' cut for you may be a 10 for somebody else
really hard to rate something like that

Look at the measurements (from BiG):
The ratio between waist and thigh is greater than that of any model of Iron Heart.
And not only of Iron Heart…
But it's also true that Jin denim stretches a lot and faster! And, after all, the more I wear them, the more I like! So I gonna change may vote: 8!

The 634s seems to have a similar ratio as to the BiG jean:
BiG: 30/12.5 = 2.4
634s: 29.6/11.7 = 2.5Differences may be due to measurement techniques.
BiG: Measure straight from the crotch to the outside of the leg parallel to the waistband.
IH: Lay the jeans flat ensuring that any the rear rise material is to the left of the centre seam and measure the TOTAL width (not just to the centre seam) ensuring that the measuring tape is at right angles to the weft (white) yarns.

Using ratios and percentages doesn't work for jean measurements at all because small measurement changes are very significant for jeans. Especially in the legs (not as much in the thighs etc).
For example, while a 12.5 and 11.7 thigh is only 6.4% difference:
-
12.5 thigh = hugely baggy on me
-
11.7 thigh = slim fitted.

The 634s seems to have a similar ratio as to the BiG jean:
BiG: 30/12.5 = 2.4
634s: 29.6/11.7 = 2.5Correct. But 634S are sanforized, Samurai Jin are not, and they shrink after washed. But they don't shrink proportionally, you have to subtract 1 or more inches from waist and only 0.50" from thigh. Doing so, ratio will grow.
