Well, the 634S is based loosely on a '66 cut, but there all sorts of subtle changes; size and placement of pockets etc. Haraki may take a concept or design and modify it or Harakify it, but he does not get turned on by being given an existing pair of jeans and being asked to copy it. That does not get his creative juices going - which is good. having said that, I have had a lot of requests for a 55 cut in the 21oz selvedge and that compounded by a specific request from a retailer made me bite the bullet.
G, I was thinking… We know H does not like to do the whole repro thing. I really like the high rise on these and the waist to thigh ratio. Does H have any reason to do his very own high rise full straight cut or maybe a high rise straight cut?

These are supposed to be at my house tomorrow. However, we have 5 or so inches of snow (12.5cm) and being in seattle, our city almost totally shuts down every other time there's snow and the governor of the state has declared a state of emergency. Wonder when they'll actually show up.

hum hum, you know what super heavy only when you wear a 25oz pair of pants. I have both models. I wear the 25oz 634 almost everyday, but whenever I put on the 1955's, they feel so light all of a sudden.

^^ I would assume he means as a combination (super heavy AND super soft)

Yeah I meant both heavy and soft at the same time. My friend got a pair of s710 recently and those were like cardboard when new. These were so much softer and more pliable, didn't have any trouble putting them on the first time.

I'm holding out for 18oz unsanforized when/if it comes …

I beg the powers that be, on my bended knees, to please do a 25 oz version of this awesome pair of pants. I'm committing to buy 2 pairs, if that's any help.
