IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Looks like good wear for 4 months. The combs are gonna be great. Keep us updated - I love seeing worn in 634's!
-
All the pics look great. I am about a week or so into the pair I grabbed from Dr. Pat. Really great denim. My first pair of sanforized, and I can see sticking with it.

. Crotch blowouts are virtually guaranteed with jeans,
on a sidenote, I have had only 1 crotch blowout ever. Can't remember which jeans those were. Been wearing jeans since 1970…
i get em alot, but i think its from skateboarding. probably puts alot more stress on the area. however….my 634s's have no signs of one yet!

@og:
….just had someone drop a bottle of bleach (lid off of course) right behind me
sad day for all involved
Please tell me that person is in a bath of acid right now, awaiting a midnight burial at the nearby woods?..
Yeah permanent bleach spots all down the back of my legs
Yes they got a verbal acid bath for sure!!!! and a nice little sticker shock when they found out how much a replacement pair will be
my bigger issue with the whole thing is who leaves the bleach bottle cap unscrewed? how savage can you be?
-
so they gonna pay for a new pair? if yes then congrats, a new journey of raw to begin.
-
at least you got it back. a mate of mine had his pbj damaged with shit load of paint. the guy just apologized. that's all. nothing done.
-
Dam sorry man! If it was me I would honestly be butt hurt for days lmao..
-
just wondering, is the 634S slimmer in cutting as compared to the 501s thats commercially available or are they the same? also for the 634S, do you need to soak it first like the 666S before 1st wear or its ready to be thrash from day 1?
-
Not sure how the cut compares, but you're going to find different opinions on whether or not you should soak first. Technically, it's sanforized, so you don't need to soak to get rid of shrinkage. Some people feel that it's healthier for the denim to soak first. I'm in the latter group, if for nothing else, it gets rid of some of the indigo transfer from loose indigo

you mean, you still choose to soak it to prevent indigo transfer? i always hear people saying raw denim should not be washed with at least 6 months usage else the indigo would bleed when wash. so many different theory to make us confused. URGH!!!

Not washing your jeans for six months was something Nudie came up with years ago. Basically, not washing your jeans for that long will promote high contrast fades (because all of the indigo, even the indigo that will transfer easily, is mostly there, except for the high abrasion areas) and set combs
Ultimately, your jeans are a reflection of you. I'm not particularly fussy with my jeans, and my jeans reflect that.
Worrying about how often I wash or don't wash my jeans, the placement of combs, wearing them while still damp would drive me nuts

Now that sucks big time. Hopefully your mate had some good karma come his way after that!!!
