Watches - another OCD problem
-
Just started wearing this one again. Really, I don't think there's a better watch for the price. The blue dial is one of the best I've seen at any price, too.
Couldn't agree more Chris, you've motivated me to break out my Mako, then had to go with the Big Blue to compliment it!

I would like it without the logo/writing AND without the minute hands, but can't have it all I guess
No minute hand?
So something like a MeisterSinger? Or if you're looking for one a touch less spendy, the Botta Uno.May I commend you on your excellent taste in watches, Simon? And for one-upping me quite nicely? Bravo.

I suspect my next watch will be british:
British? Ummm aye, that's stretching it a bit as yes it was a British firm Back In The Day but the original Smith's long since folded and the name was snapped up by Timefactors and the watch in question now has a Japanese Miyota movement, although it would be much more expensive if made with a ETA 2892 for sure and to be fair they do however seem to have very favourable reviews all over. Although i do like the one you have pictured(the fact it homages an Explorer does make giggle) i for one favour the 29A as i would love an original W10 but it it have to be a minter and those cost a huge chunk of change.

Oooh, I'm envious. Such a lovely watch. I will demand pics, of course.

Got it. Must be nice to have a currency that's actually appreciating against the yen. The dollar just keeps going down. Makes feeding my Japanese clothing fetish harder and harder.
Still want pics if you pick out up this summer…

I saw Giles's comment about his Breitlings keeping poor time. I've got an Avenger Sea Wolf (which has to be the most ridiculous name for a watch ever), and it's often run slow.
After it's been serviced twice, and sent back for repairs twice as well, it's finally keeping time.
Incidentally, I got shown a Chopard Tourbillon the other day. £52K of watch. Very nice.

Wow, those are so neat!
Any more info?

Well, they are all quite old, the bottom one is the one bought in Seattle, it is marked Omega, not sure if it is related to the current brand at all.
The story of my family is quite interesting. My grandfather and his brothers all left for the new world to make something of themselves. One came back and started what became the family farm, the other became a DA in Seattle.. I guess that is where I got my law genes from.
