I know the feeling, Chris. I also have a denim backlog (and I suspect many people here do too!).

However, if these puppies fit me I can see them being bumped up the pecking order. Part of it is the fit, but part is about the challenge of breaking in this solid denim. In their unsoaked state they are like fucking cardboard - I love it.

Righto, I got round to trying the beasts on. I think they'll be OK, but I'm going to have to be careful with the soaking: I hope to get about 1.5 inches shrinkage in the waist, but not too much in the inseam. Could be some stretching required during drying.

Anyway, here's a couple of pics pre-soak.

Have given my tagged 33's a medium-hot soak, and here are the before/after measurements (jn inches)

Pre:
Waist 35
Thigh 12.5
Knee 9.25
Opening 8.5
Inseam 35.75

Post:
Waist 34
Thigh 12
Knee 8.75
Opening 8.125
Inseam 34.5

I was hoping for a fit like Simon's (below), but mine have remained a bit baggier than I would like (especially in the arse area). The waste is perfect right now (I prefer not to wear belts), but will no doubt stretch out at least an inch over time. I usually find that if the waste is perfect when new, it's too big after only a couple of weeks.

I'm debating whether to keep them or go down a size. Tough call…..Simon if you're reading this, how have yours stretched?

Ahhhh what the hell… I just ordered a size 32 from SE. The denim is so damn good I want these jeans to be the perfect fit so I'm gonna play off the 32 against the 33. The 33 is pretty good, but maybe a tad too loose. Let's see what the 32 offers.

The loser ends up for sale, so stay tuned for a cheap pair of Indo's sometime soon....

Either way, I can't wait to rock this amazing denim.

Easter out of the way, finally got my package from SE today.

Haven't soaked yet, but initial feeling after trying them on briefly, is that these size 32 babies will be perfect after a little shrinkage. Here's hoping…

Continuing on my one-man quest to maintain this thread…

Yesterday was kinda like Christmas. Two packages of IH stuff arrived during the morning - the first contained a pair of BBod and some leather samples from Giles, and the second contained my Indo's from SE. Happy days!

After a quick fit-check I set about soaking the Indo's. Surprisingly they didn't shrink as much as the size 33s I got a few weeks back. Maybe the water wasn't quite as warm, although it felt the same to me. Anyway, they shrank enough for me to like them more than the 33's. I took a couple of pics straight after they dried...
