also - check these - they fit more like the Indy - not as tight around the instep

See below. 2 pairs been "stolen" by Alex (an occupational hazard, when your son is the same size as you), so only 5 here. From left to right:
Suede chukkas
Black cordovan unlined loafers (made by Alden, but sold by Brookes Bros) - worn at Funerals, Weddings and Christenings
Shell Cordovan specials - picked up in a sale at Alden San Francisco years ago
Shell Cordovan Chukkas
Indy's -

@shubharamani:
Nice collection G. You have wayyy more shoes than me. Including the Clark Wallabees, I have maybe 5 pair of shoes total (2 of which are running shoes). I'll post a pic lined up one day (in the "other kindsa shoes" section)…you guys will get a good laugh.
When the Indys turned up, Paula was heard to mutter to Demitra, "Imelda Fucking Marcos - she's got nothing on Giles"

Loving the suede snuff indy…
I gotta agree! I am also loving the Vintage Indy. I really need to get myself one of those models in the future.

Giles, awesome Alden collection. Very nice! BUT two comments.
First, these need some lovin'. I mean cordovan really doesn't require a lot of care but those shoes would look MUCH better with some TLC applied.
Try to contact Mr. Borggreve from Berlin. He is the expert in shoe concerns. Gives seminars, has a shoe cleaning service and sells the very best products. Seriously cool fellow, too. I met him personally. He mixed up some special shoe polish for me on his stove and I bought some Yak and goat hair brushes and a bunch of polishes from him. He gives you straight no BS advice and won't sell you stuff you don't need (unless you want it like I did). Tell him Till sent you.

They are open shoes and don't have the dignity required for funerals. The lace-ups would be a better choice even if they are not black. but I am picky on these things while others might not care.
My favorite from the line up are the suede chukkas. Extremely nice. Much higher quality than Clark's or various other chukka models.
