Leather Preservative Experiment
-
wonder how much of a difference you would see with actual movement of the leather. a belt or a patch on jeans bend & that's when they develop cracks & the like . . .
-
Whats the white stuff inbetween the belt holes?
-
just extra paste that accumulated in the holes while it was being applied and was not removed
-
Mustang for the win IMO
As it also kinda preserves the natural color (compare with the untreated leather, closest in color) but it also maintain the leather and keeps it in good condition
-
look at the difference around the holes. "none" seems to be showing some weathering while the treated leathers still look pretty smooth.
whoops looked again the "ober oil" looks to have some creases as well :-\
6 months go by quickly

Love the LP great stuff

I've stopped oiling leather a long time ago, good leather doesn't need it (which the above pic seems to acknowledge to me) …
-
I don't know, the untreated one seems to be cracking a bit around the holes. I'd agree that it shows good leather needs minimal care, though.
-
Ooh, that's going to be interesting to see.

awesome. Nice work
