Seems very odd that out of sufu, here, SF etc, no-one has any hands on experience.

The rise on that looks crazy high. Not into the back pockets.

Aero Leather are currently selling off their stock of Eight G 30 oz jeans for £150, which is half price. They've got sizes 30, 32 and 36 in stock.

The product page on Rakuten gives measurements. It looks like they fit about true to size, maybe an inch large in the waist, and all have a 36" inside leg. However, they will shrink by about 2" in the waist and leg. Fit is apparently somewhere between a 47 and 55 cut Levi's 501.

When I visited Aero, Will really rated these, and they're generally unavailable outside of Japan. So if you can live with the arcs…

I ordered a pair of the 30 oz jeans off Aero a while back, and had them sent down a couple of weeks back with a jacket that was in for repair.
Mine are a size 36, and a 36" waist and 37" inside leg. After soaking this fell to a 34" waist and a 35" inside leg. Other dimensions seem similar to a size 34 pair of the IH 1955S, though the leg is very slightly slimmer.
In terms of finish, Eight Gs feel more industrial or agricultural, whereas Iron Hearts are more precisely engineered.
If you're after something to tide you over until Giles does a re-run of the 55s then they're worth a look.
I'll post some pics in the next day or two.
