If you measure like this: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2834.0 it is about 20" for the shoulders.

Girgio I have 59, 51, 56, 37, 31, 16 in S (whereas 16, 56 and 51 have a more snuggier fit) and the 61 in M. I have washed it and it is drying at the moment. Pre-soak it was already perfect over another shirt. Pretty useful Military shirt I think. Assuming you are a slimmer built than I am you could be fine with an S but check carefully. good luck mate

I know I am going to get a lot of heat for this, but this is how I measure shoulders personally. Or straight across the back depending on the collar situation…
That assumes that the front yoke hits the arm in exactly the same place as the rear yoke, that is an inaccurate assumption…
-
Lando you look great in the Khaki one
like your fit
Right on davito. Can't wait to see yours. Sure you will do it even more justice!

It is. I only do it for mine. I will go ahead and change my measuring to the IH approved method from here on out.

Thank you, Lando, I am sure that your measurements are correct. I'm trying to extract a proportion to find out if I have to go for an S or an M.

georgeel, no problem. I will get that for you this afternoon. Unfortunately I cannot remeasure the unwashed, but I will definitely double check the post wash measurements for you. Cheers
Just re-measured an S and an M pre-wash:
Shoulders - S 17.5”, M 18.5”
Length - S 28”, M 28.5”
PtP - S 21”, M 22”
Opening - S 21”, M 22”
Sleeve - S 24.5”, M 25”Hope this helps…

Lovely :). I think I'll just stick with the Olive and rely on your fantastic documentation of the Khaki to stave off any hunger. Especially after reading about what's coming later in the year…

Your kindness is legendary! Thanx a lot & again & again!b
@MP: great look, man! -
superb George, you will love it.
I could have probably fit into a S as well but I like how the M drapes on my body :-*, still some room to wear another shirt under it but not too roomy when only wearing a Tee. Usually I only go with snuggy fits but with this one went military style a bit relaxed and the fabric will get better.
Gave it a 30 degree machine wash middle spin, hang dry and another 40 degree machine wash low spin, tumble dry low. I think there is still some tiny bit shrinkage left but it is OK like that.
I tried to catch some pix in my usual "living" room
In this situation I wear it with an IH pocket Tee.
This one goes out to my man Lando, wearing the SBG's and the III's
have a nice rest of the week everybody.

MP you have me inspired with this shirt. I wear it most of the time. Btw the color shape of yours is awesome.
