looks like jacoavlu's pair are lined on the bottom & Giles' pair aren't.  wonder how that impact's comfort?  tracing my feet & doing what seems like twenty or so things to get measured right & get a pair made up.  any suggestions from you Iron Heart crazies?

^^Reason I ask is because the russle moccasin site isn't really the best and it took me a while to find the pair that looked similar to yours G and jaco.  I know these can be customized but even finding that was a bit of a bitch.

holy shit, 20 week turnaround time?  I thought 8 weeks for whites was bad.  They must really be old school.  I guess you can rush hand made crafting

I got mine just off the rack from nepenthes ny they may still have some, give them a call

well Russell is a bit more custom than most (with regards to fit) you gotta send them tracings and measurements of your feet for a custom pair

I shot them an email and got a response saying they had some still in stock.  I'm typically a size 11.  Do you recommend sticking with that size?  What did you do in regards to your regular size when you picked up yours jaco?

they run big in length but the toe box is on the narrow side… I took a 9 and wear 9.5 in Alden trubalance last and sneakers 9.5-10.

E-mailed nepenthes again about their Russle Moccasin collab in regards to sizing and if they could sell to me via internet or phone and no response.  Called the store and no one got back to me.  Gonna have to take my business elsewhere if this keeps up.

they may not be a lot of help re sizing, they will measure a pair if you ask though. Not the same as tryin them on but it's something

here goes:

PH Style boot made from red/brown weathertuff leather with brown canvas quarters.  Oak leather midsole, white rubber liner with vibram 2060 sole, cost was between a IHSH-62 & a IHSH-61. i know a lot of folks are into heavy for what ever reason, but i think these are the lightest & best made boots i have ever seen
