I have a hard time believing that spending a few hours on the floor of my closet instead of hanging (only from the waist never from the hems… oh the horror!) is going to have any significant effect on the lifespan of my jeans.
I also can't take anything seriously when it comes from a website that advocates, under any circumstances, baking your jeans, rather than simply washing them. Even when it costs $400+, it's still just denim, not the Shroud of Turin.

That reminds me-
Recently my jeans suffered an unfortunate accident that involved a diaper failure (let's just leave it at that). After they dried, they weren't really very discolored and they don't smell too much. So my dilemma is this- it's only been 18 months since I washed them last and I was really hoping to go 2 years. Should I just spot clean them, or do you think it's ok to wait 6 months before I wash them? This is Doug right now:

Not even remotely serious…

^Best solution is to spot clean that with a piece of cloth soaked in urine …
