Re running shoes, if you're in need of some support and motion control (a good shop can assess this for you), I would recommend Brooks. Their running shoes are solid, well-constructed and comfortable. If you can get away with a neutral shoe, Nike shoes from the Lunar series and the classic Pegasus are excellent.
I've used both of these brands and they served me well over hundreds and hundreds of training miles and racing.

What are the best running shoes?
Not too concerned about looks.
At least 80% of my running is on a treadmill.I know this might just come down to preference, but I'm sure there have to be some shoe specs out there that are better than others.
As of right now, I'm into New Balance.
Anyone have a preferred New Balance shoe?I like Vibram Fivefingers. They look ridiculous, but they're super comfortable

I vote also for 5Fingers. They require a different approach to running though…
Which ones do you use? I'm using KSOs for everything right now, although I will most likely get a pair of Komodosport LS when I can get back to weight lifting.
But like IJ said, you need a different approach to running if you're going to wear Fivefingers. You don't realize how weak the muscles in your feet are until you wear a pair for a day

Anyone have a preferred New Balance shoe?Get yourself to a running store with a treadmill and they should help you find the best shoe for you. Everyone has different feet and running styles.
I have 4 pairs: Brooks Glycerine 9, Brooks Cascadia, Vibram 5Fingers and Nike Free 3.0. Each pair has it's own use. -
I do a lot of hiking in vibram five fingers. I would imagine they are great for running as well. They give you a feel for the ground and really strengthen your feet in ways sneakers cannot. It does take time to get used to build up stamina and get used to them and they are rediculous looking but they do the trick.

Thanks guys. I think I'll hit up a specialty running store to see exactly what I would need.

The 95% label in the grey marl Tee is a mistake. It is 100% cotton….
Well, that's a simple answer. I like it.:)

Is it just me or does anyone else find crosspoints really fucking annoying…
I mis-read this as Does anyone else find croissants annoying? To which I would answer yes, when the pastry falls all over your lap.

New York residents, tell me about Tokio 7. Is it any good? What are their prices like? My wife loves odd, kitsch stuff (like me), and this sounds like it could be a place that she would enjoy.

Hit or miss. Designer brands at discounted prices. Definitely worth a visit while you are here. As for other spots similar, shoot urbanwoodsman a PM as he knows pretty much every spot in the city and BK.
