Chains, Reins, Leashes, Wallets & Hooks

So I got through my hard financial times without selling my cordovan. Weird part is after a week of using it again, I have ripped about half of the chain loop off.
I noticed this 2 days ago and it was about a quarter of the way cut through.
I just looked at it again today and it is about half way ripped through. its hard to show the whole rip but it actually goes down into the area where it is stitched together.
Im wondering what I am doing that is making it rip all the sudden. I have not been wearing any chains on it. just typical use. I think im going to try and source a scrap piece of cordovan and just make another loop and rivet it. One flap on the outside looped around to the inside. Essentially the same thing that it came with only it will not be sandwiched in between the wallet. Bummer…
Giles, since I have to do this, is there any way I could buy just one of the silver "pride of japan" rings?

Thank you sir.

Alright G, I did the quick and dirty repair to my IH mid length now I want to swap out my brass chain for a IH-WL in tan. Any chance of a restock soon? Thanks.

Thanks G. I'm going to order a few things soon. If these are available when I'm ready Greg. If not, no biggie.

…wait a gal darn minute, there isn't one!

Unless they welded the ring closed, you should be able to pry it open with basic tools, like a screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

I can de-knuckle it for you no probs…..

Why not just get the whole deal and de-knuckle it yourself? I mean, if it is the same price that is. Sure someone wants some IH Brass Knucks.
