IH-2527J - Brown Cotton Duck Riders Jacket

well.. either way, since it's demand you need, I WANT IT!!!!! that adds on to the number!
-
Just realised it's been over a year… Might check if it needs a wash next week. I don't wear it that often, maybe 2-3 days a week. It'll be a hand wash in any case. And the only thing I'll miss will be the indigo blood. On the other hand, that'd be a perfect excuse to wear it more...

Sorry about that… If is ever only one piece of Iron Heart (sounds like a Legend of Zelda moment "you got a piece of... Iron Heart, collect 3 more for a full Iron Heart) I keep, it'll be this...
Unless I get too fat, then I'll auction it off for charity and steal Seul's medium :))

Keeps me slim ;). Every time I think about washing it, I think about DougNg… Then I decide to wear it less. But, every time I open my wardrobe, there it is.
I might have to prevail upon Giles' technical knowhow.

geez… is everyone afraid of washing their jackets? I've had mine for about a week or two, and I I already put it through the wash cycle twice (just to make sure it shrank all the way), threw it in the dryer (yes the dryer!), and then just wear the damn thing like any other garment! These jackets are not meant to be pampered! They are actually usable (albeit pricey) everyday wear... unless Giles tells me otherwise

The IH cotton duck gets white marks on it, if you machine wash and dry. Read this whole thread…
Most of the marks are caused by the material rubbing repeatedly against the side of the washer/dryer. Place the jacket in a mesh laundry bag and then throw it in the washer. This will help reduce any marking while machine washing. Just make sure you use minimal soap. If you still get some marks, soak the area with water and take an old tooth brush and gently scrub it.

Well what d'ya know… Thanks for that bit of intel dajiggalo!..
[/No problem! Simply not washing the jacket will just make it... Just downright gross in the long run!
I think we should've looked at the cause of these marks and then adjust washing procedures accordingly. For example, they look like shiny glaze marks on my black jacket, running along the creases, which means its probably rubbing against something in the wash. Tossing it in a mesh bag helped considerably by creating another "layer" between the denim and the washer. The only other cause might be residual detergent, which mild scrubbing with a wet brush helped. I will definitely say, air dry when possible! You get a lot less wrinkles that way! -
Believe it or not, but mine's for sale!..

You will regret that one day, you know that no? Good luck.
