like stated…if this was a XL i would have posted some fitpics already and def. would have kept it, since this shirt is dope as hell and actually i was surprised that i like it as much as i do now that i´ve seen it in person...
so this is for the guys that aren´t that blown away by it YET!...get it, it´s way better in person as seen in any pic...you have to feel it to believe it!

from the looks of the fabric, does these feel soft or "denim" kinda feeling. oh and how heavy are these? thick?
-
The fabric is very thick. You can tell it was a bitch to sew due to the super heavy thread that was used. It starts off kind of shiny and stiff, but after several wears, it softens up similar to denim. It's thick enough to walk threw pickers in the New England woods with little penetration. They do come up a tad small in length, especially the front. I'm an XL in IH shirts, but this is an XXL. It's one of my favorites, but I haven't had a chance to wear it because it's not spring/summer weight (12oz).

thanks for this info buddy! i almost grabbed them but was worried it might be too thick for singapore's weather like the IHSH-52 that i had to sell off because it was impossible to wear it in singapore.
so close.. so damn close to buying this! just wish singapore can be like the US and UK.

Are "pickers" like nettles or thorns?

Just would like to reiterate just how awesome and versitile this shirt is. The fabric is like armor in brush and forest debris. At the same time it is totally soft and has this stiffness sort of to it. Looks like a dress shirt but wears like a goddamn breastplate. This is some stubborn shit

This would be a perfect shirt to add the "Liberty Cuffs" to, that G picked up the other day.

I hadn't thought of that, but you are definitely right.

i've been wearing a black 56 about 1-2x a week for the past six weeks and it's really starting to break in nicely, i have a feeling this shirt is going to be epic

Fresh in from Gosport (sorry for noisy & poorly lit iPhone pic)…
Wow, what a fantastic piece of craftsmanship this shirt is. Love the short cut too - suits the IH-555-03 perfectly.
Thanks to Giles & Paula for the fantastically quick service

Thanks guys, really pleased with it.
Finn - this one's a L and is just about on the limit for me size-wise. XL may have been slightly more comfortable for length, but wouldn't have been as fitted as this around the chest (I have a merino tee on underneath). Irrelevant anyway, as XL is out in all colours!
